The table was slammed, " I can't believe this is what the prophecy chose. And I seriously can't believe you all are accepting it." The blonde scoffs, looking at Amber with disgust.
Her accent is mixed with British. "Oh wait until the Queen sees this." She had straight blonde hair, with dark brown eyes
Amber turned to Indigo, her eyebrows knitted together when she whispered, "Did I do something wrong?"
"Did you do something wrong? How could someone be so stupid." The girl thrashes her arms over her head, dropping her kitchenware and standing from the table.
She collided her shoulder into Amber when she left.
Arveion left next, giving her a once over when he passed. "Seriously, did I do something?" Amber asked again, with a shrug, and Arsan and Indigo laughed.
"Nah, that's only Sage being Sage." Arsan took a sip of his tea, still seated while everyone was already leaving.
"Hey, what did she mean by Queen?"
Indigo stood beside her linking their arms, "That's right. You're going to have to meet the Queen." Indigo exclaimed.
***
"Where are we going?" Amber asked. They stood in front of the building, in the road where a carriage waited.
"To the kingdom, of course." Arsan answered with a raised eyebrow, "Where else would the Queen be?"
"This isn't the Queendom?"
"Enough questions, Amber, get in." Indigo gestured to the white carriage, shoving her inside and then getting in herself after, "Forward ahead, Johnathon." She says once the gates were open, the guards signaling for them to go on.
Johnathon rode the horses, hitting them with a whip to gallop forward.
Riding through the gate they had to cross a stone bridge. It wasn't much of a distance, crossing it may be tiring to some but it could still be crossed by my foot.
It felt like a fairy tale.
Amber looked behind her, getting a glimpse of Arsan before the gate closed, who waved at her. She turned to Indigo with a smile when they neared the end of the bridge.
"That's the market I saw from the window." The closer they got was the louder the music became.
They rode through the road of the town's largest market, the people stopping and clearing from the road to look at them beading eyes, waving and smiling.
Amber smiled when they offered fruits and vegetables to her.
"This is one of our biggest markets, Pure Haven, they're always ready to give—"Indigo leaned on the carrier, admiring the people with her cheek in her palm, "Even when it's not the greatest of times."
Not the greatest of times? Amber was going to ask her what she meant but got cut off when a few of the women followed the carriage.
They waved out to her, their long bland dresses flowing over their knees, "Oh my, you're such a beautiful young lady." A woman who looked to be in her 30's grinned up at her.
"Her eyes are so enchanting, might you Princess?" Another from the three of them, asked and Amber blushed.
"No, no." She shook her head, and waved her palms at them, "I'm only a plain old me. Nothing special."
"Aw, she's such a doll, please be sure to visit your poor old aunties!" They waved at her, no longer being able to keep up with the carriage.
"Of course. It was nice to you three." Amber beamed, the smile not leaving her face when she said, "They're all so nice here."
They gallop through the town, wooden houses on both sides of the road. The further they went the more luxurious the buildings became, going from the simple brown houses to gigantic ones when they passed under an arch in a wall.
"We've crossed a wall and I know you've noticed that things are far more of a higher value here. Make no mistake, the people here are not as nice as the people back there—" Indigo warned, "This is the area of the great knights, they are said to work to protect the world of Ethevion, but putting your trust in them should take caution as there is also dark knights, dark knights often hide along the lines of the great knights, so you should take that in consideration before you off telling anything personal to these knights."
"Oh…" Was all Amber said when she stared at these knights. They flooded almost the entire area, some passing on horses and others in front of people's houses dressed in Black and purple cloaks with their swords clutched at their sides.
Johnatton passed the Knights and finally Amber could breathe once their eyes weren't on her. Luxurious houses continued ahead but the sight of trees and grass could be seen on both sides of the road.
At the end of the road, a beautiful sight is beholden.
"Welcome to Ang-ex-thus, Region of the world Ethevion."
"Woah." Amber gasped, "So this is the Queendom." She was at the edge of the seat, trying to take in the details on the Queendom once the carriage stopped at the wall. The Queendom was protected by vast stone walls, not too tall to hide the existence of it.
The Queendom looked like it came straight out of a movie. It was white with light blue roofs and blue flags were at both sides on the highest point, blowing from the cold morning breeze. There were many parts to it, the middle being the main area.
The guards opened the tall black gates with golden wings being designed over them.
__________
Indigo straightens the dress, "Speak when you're spoken to, the Queen is very nice but trust me, you don't want to test her." She warned and Amber nodded.
They walked up a flight of stairs until they were standing in front of the throne room's tall, wooden doors that almost reached the ceiling.
Amber exhaled a nervous breath. 'I've never spoken to a Queen before."
"Hey what should I—" Before she could finish, Indigo had already pushed open the doors.
"Come on—" Indigo smiles at the Queen before turning her head to Amber, who was still hidden behind the door.
"I-I'm here." She stepped out onto the glistening red carpet, and went around the room, staring at the ethereal white ceilings and large columns. And then her eyes went to the throne where the Queen was seated.
'A literal Goddess,' Amber thought while looking at the beautiful woman in front of her. She had long blonde hair with mesmerizing blue eyes and glass-like skin.
"You must be Amber Lane." The Goddess soothed, her voice sounded like a flowing river, soft and calmingly lovely to listen to.
Amber bowed,"Y-Yes that is me."
"Do you know why you are here?"
Amber shook her head, "No you're highness, however, the last few days have been a literal pain. I mean, pain in the ass. Demons, creatures, that's enough to send a girl knots in the head, right?" She ranted and she heard Indigo gave her a warning by clearing her throat.
However, the reaction from the goddess wasn't anything out of the lines and expected when she simply laughed, "I give you that right, Amber. I do not expect you to become elidable with all of this in a day, I swear to you there's a lot more you'll find in Ang-ex-thus. That's why I want to permit you to stay with us. Your life is no longer normal Amber, so if you were planning to return to it, then I'll inform you that there will be consequences."
