Hell

Amber flew up at the sound of knocking on her door. It felt like not even an hour had passed since she had gone to sleep. She looked out the window.

'The sun isn't even out yet.' She thought, was the time here different or something?'

What crazy person is responsible for waking her up so early.

She groaned when she heard another knock on the door,"I'm coming, I'm coming." She opens the door to see Arsan smiling at her.

He was also very handsome. Especially today as his hair was slicked back neatly in waves, his white teeth shining at her and he also had a morning tan, his almond eyes matching beautifully.

"Good morning, Miss. Lane." The smile remained on his handsome face.

"Good morning Arsan, may I ask why you're here this early?"

"Oh, I thought you knew."  He shrugs, "Today starts your training, but there's no need to be worried or anything, it's mostly based on who your teacher is." He explained and she gave him a nervous nod.

"And does this training consist of?"

"Nothing much, it only introduces you as a newcomer to Ethveion and you'll get a deep explanation on what it consists of, meaning where to stay away from and where it's safe to go."

"Thank you, I'll get dressed and be right down then."

"No problem, just try not to be too late." With that he left, and Amber closed the door behind him, walking to the wardrobe to get ready.

'Training? Arveion said, around the same thing yesterday, I wonder what's it about?'

***

Amber wore a tan skirt, paired with a grey knitted shirt which she tucked in when she left her room. She walks through the downstairs hearing the sound of talking when she pushes the wooden doors open.

Out in front was a group of people, blocking her way from the front. She tried going through the crowd, they all seemed to be listening to someone.

She turned her head, calling out a random girl. She had dark brown short hair, pale skin and light brown eyes.

"Hey, what's on?" Amber asked the girl. The girl turned to look at her, wearing a cheeky smile on her face.

"Oh, hey there, nothing much right now but Arveiom was ordered to talk to you. I'm guessing you're new here, I'm Elisabeth but my friends call me Elise."

Amber shook the hand Elise put towards her,"Nice to meet you, Elise. Amber and thank you."

"If you go in more in front you'll be able to hear him better. Us in the back don't really need to listen as we all know what he speaks, though you should be out in the front."

"Oh, get it, thank you." She waved before politely excusing herself to the front. She exhaled when she reached the front line layer  in between a really tall guy and a girl shorter than her.

She placed her hands in each other and looked ahead, removing her attention from the people around her.

"I hope it is clear what you all will find here. With that said we'll be moving on to rule 3." Arveion talked to the crowd, Arsan alongside him, along with another girl she didn't know.

Amber stared at him,'How could someone look that good in the mornings?'

His brown hair resembled blonde under the morning sun, also reflecting on his golden skin. He was once again in a suit, looking rather serious again. Amber got flashbacks to his toned chest yesterday, seeing him shirtless instead of the suit jacket he was actually wearing.

'He's on rule 3. I seriously need to focus on the important stuff!'

"Rule three, once you begin training there will be no leaving another behind. A man goes down, you go back if you know there is a slight chance of him being able to survive."

"Rule four. Abilities in Angexthus can never be used selfishly nor should it be used to hurt another angel. As you know here in this academy you will learn to either control your ability or to discover ability." Arveion eyes met hers for a second however she couldn't say what words were behind it.

He continued,"There's a chance that not all of you have abilities, this is where you can either train to become a knight or  a guard for a kingdom. No, there is no explanation to why everyone will not have abilities yet but you shouldn't stress if you don't have any of these groups." He says and Amber felt as if his words were directed to her.

'Jerk.'

"This school will not be aimed around the ability group only. It offers training for every type of angel  belonging to all the groups and the training for wanting to fight beside the goddess one day, or even challenge her, depending on how you conquer these stages. These stages/training are, combat training, magical abilities, swordsmanship, dungeon and creature hunting, spell casting, teamship, leadership and healing.

"Note that though you don't pass  all these stages there is still a chance of becoming successful, example: if you fail all the stages but make it in Combat, swordsmanship, and leadership, you will still be permitted to become a knight. There are more rules but I do not wish to confuse you further. Last thing to know will be tests to complete, the very last one far from extreme."

Arveion gives everyone a single bow, "From next week, it was advised that next week is when your real training starts. From here enjoy the time you have as I guarantee you it will not be easy." He gives everyone  a charming smile which  makes the girls cheer, whistling his name.

However Arveion's eyes were directed at Amber's, the two of them practically doing a last to blink contest. She broke eye contact first, turning away from him when everyone started to return inside.

'What's his problem?' She wondered, not bothering to look over her shoulder at him.

The only thing on her mind despite the gorgeous man was how she was going to pass those stages. Especially knowing that her stay here wasn't going to be easy. There were too many things that could go wrong. Too many.
