Later that night a soldier in armour visited Gareth who was sitting by himself at his campfire, the soldier was ordered to bring Gareth to the meeting.
Being escorted by a soldier there were many curious eyes staring at him, there were also murmurs within the campsite. Gareth did not pay heed to the whispers, he soon exited his group and travelled about 20 minutes towards a larger encampment.
He noticed that there was a larger military presence in the area compared to other camps and security was much tighter. Trying to not be too curious he just continued following the soldier and was lead to a large tent. He was then led to the female captain where she was still dressed in that special suit, he saw other high ranked military personal also there nearly all were wearing impact resistant suits.
Waiting by the female captain side, all the rest of the personal waited for everyone to gather and before long they were allowed to enter.
Inside the tent it was very spacious and there were seats for the upper rank to sit on while those who did not have any rank were to sit on the floor.
Gareth noticed a mid age man, who seemed to face many battles, his wrinkles echoed deeply into his face, there were few scars on his arms and face. He faced the audience and an announcer came up and spoke: "the meeting will commence on the discussion towards the bandit encampment 100km south west from here."
Soon scouts began to relay their information on what they found including vehicles, number of personal, patrols etc. Gareth heard that there were more than 30,000 bandits for this operation and soon a loud discussion began to take place. He heard some ideas of using some of the vehicles as explosives to be driven towards their camp, doing constant night raid to tire them out, sabotage their supplies. He didn't hear his idea being mentioned and he didn't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing.
Soon some arguments were heard and they came from people who came in with the officers. What they wanted was simple abandon the civilians and take the big families away, a tiny proportion agreed with this matter others stayed silent while most disagreed vehemently.
There were still making a ruckus exclaiming numerous threats from their family heads. The old man told everyone to be silent. Then he asked if there were any other suggestions? Silence pervaded the atmosphere, seeing nobody was going to speak, Gareth stood up and voiced: "I have something to say."
Soon all eyes turned towards him, some had hints of disdain or mockery in their eyes while others were inquisitive. Gareth felt those eyes boring into him and he who had just returned to humanity was feeling a bit pressured at the moment despite his military training.
Taking a small breathe he continued: "I recommend using the wildlife to attack the bandit camp thin out the numbers."
It was an interesting idea and soon discussions rang out some praising him others cursing that they didn't think of such an obvious idea. Those rich representatives all began to frown at Gareth because a nobody had found a solution instead of them giving Gareth and refugees more reason to save them.
The person in charge asked him to continue and Gareth gotten his acknowledgement began to share the steps of his plan.
Those big family representatives were quiet, the military officials were quiet. Everyone could see that this might be the best way to deal with this troublesome issue.
Soon the commander requested to find wildlife and flora experts within the various encampments and to return with them without delay.
