A new recruit

Aden had been popular in high school. Six years later and he became a champion. As long as he didn't win the tournament or whatever this was. He could keep his power.

Aden grabbed the woman sitting next to him and brought her close. He smelled her like if she was some kind of scented candle.

The room he was in had been a warehouse at some point. Now it was abondoned. Windows broken, rust stained the walls.

"Fuck, those Cold Raiders won't stay outa my turf, right Aria?" Aden said as he gently pushed the woman away. He stood up with a glass of wine in hand.

"Aden, knocking out the Cold Raiders won't make us win the game. We should get rid of their nasty organ trading. It makes me sick!" Jose said.

Jose had become a red dragon or Thunder Prince as the aliens called him. He didn't know what those titles meant and he didn't care.

"The cold raiders? They have killed ten of my men by accident…I would be angry if they accidently got me or my wives next." Aden said as he looked back at his harem.

The women always kept a serious expression. Some were there against their will. One of them had been a prostitute he saved. It took her months to get off the drugs, but she managed to get sober from it. Her name was Emilia. Unlike the other women, she was the only one who loved him back.

A gargoyle entered the room. Each step he made sounded like bricks hitting eachother.

"What is it? We're busy discussing The Cold Raiders." Aden said with a serious look.

"Sorry, Sir. But tactician Rory Gremoire has been found dead and gutted."

Aden's glass cup fell and shattered.

Rory was a tactician. Leading The Crimson Gaurd with a high success rate. But behined her powerful results was a sweet girl. She looked up to him like a little sister. Rory wanted to study to become a nurse and Aden had promised her that. An image of her studying anatomy flashed in his mind. Aden's body tensed, he couldn't move. All he could do was feel the hate coursing through his veins. Then sorrow came like a brutal stab.

Aden fell to his kneese. Tears blurred his vision, snot began to run down his nose.

"Rory…Rory.." Aden cried.

Emelia came to his side and wept with him.

"I swear I'll crush those undead bastards!" The gargoyle said as it kneeled.

Location- Champion's Bar

It took a week for Spencer to get over his panic attacks. He would remember killing that champion over and over again. Especially at night. The death rattle as he bled out and the last breath tourmented him. That was his first kill and now he was a murderer.

"We need three more members for our party." Blaze said, snapping Spencer out of his thought.

"I was never good at making freinds. I'm not sure how to find members." Spencer said as he rested his head on the table.

"What do I do? Just go up to someone and ask? I imagine sticking out is not a good idea." Spencer made an unconvencing smile.

"Beggars can't be choosers. I say let's get anyone to join our team." Blaze said. His red glowing eyes scanned the bar left to right. Then he spotted his target. A little girl looked panicked, lost, but she was a kid. She was a champion, could've been a grown ass man before. She wore a white dress with a red gem on her chest. Something large was on her back, wings? No, Blaze recognized what they were, spider legs stanced like wings.

"She could've been some buff guy in her past life." Spencer smiled jokingly.

"I know, what she is or was is irrelevant. Shes asking to join teams. We have to recruit her before she meets player killers." Blaze stood up.

Blaze grabbed her shoulder and she turned around.

"I don't know what to do…they killed my dad and gutted him…I saw." She said as tears ran down her cheeks.

"It'll be alright…my name is Blaze, and this here is Princess." Blaze said.

"My name..my name was Richard..I was in middle school..and this happened to me. I'm a sixth grader..I'm so confused." She cried.

"Don't worry kid. I was a fucking grown as dude..look at me now." Spencer said.

The girl stopped crying, then she wiped her eyes.

"What happened to your dad?" Blaze asked.

"We were doing a level twenty quest when skeletons attacked us. They looked weak but, but…my dad..they cut him up." Her eyes glazed up, but she supressed the urge to cry.

"Tell me kid, how did you escape?" Spencer asked.

"I hid..my dad never wanted me to fight. He just..wanted us to wait it out." She said.

"It's ok. You're not Richard anymore. Never use that name again or you'll endanger your family. What should we call you?" Spencer asked.

"Oh, you mean my champion name. Its The Spider Princess. You can call me Spider for short I guess." Spider said.

"Spider it is. Would you like to join our party?" Spencer smiled with a hand offered to her.

"Yeah..I don't know what else to do, where to go." She said.

"I would like to join as well." A monsterious voice similar to Blaze's spoke. It was a fully armored demon like champion. Its eyes were like yellow gems.

"My name is Jack, also known as Entertainment Knight. I also need a party to survive." He said with a graceful bow.
