Starter Village

Arthur was immediately enveloped by a white light as he was transported to the starter village.

Arthur looked down and saw he was dressed in a tattered shirt with some ripped pants and a chipped wooden sword resting on his waist.

'It's a shame I can't keep the levels I'll gain in this one week period but at least I won't lose everything' thought Arthur with a wry smile on his face while trying to think positively.

As Arthur is a very goal-oriented man he immediately created a plan of action and decided to execute it right away.

'Okay, before I go out to grind levels I should probably try to understand this world a bit better and who better to tell me than the Village Chief himself' thought Arthur as he started jogging towards the biggest house he can see assuming that's where the Chief would reside.

Arthur quickly arrived in front of the Chiefs home but saw that there was a line filled with at least fifty players and estimated he'd waste two hours if he stayed and waited in the line.

Arthur quickly gathered his thoughts and came to the conclusion that the next best thing would be the Warrior instructor as he would be killing two birds with one stone as he could 1. learn more about Conquest and 2. he would be able to redeem his starter skill.

"Hey there kid! Looking to be a Warrior are ya?"

"Yes sir, I am."

"Well alrighty then. You can call me Instructor Roy. I'll be guiding you on the path of a warrior up until you leave the village for Conway City."

'Conway City?'

"What's Conway City Instructor Roy?"

"Hmm? Well I'm not supposed to tell you this, but I will since you're the first Immortal Player to have approached me.

Conway City is the most prosperous city in the Zeppelin Kingdom, it's situated at the centre of the kingdom surrounded by a colossal forest termed The Forest of Nightmares. If you do end up at Conway City make sure to say hi to my old friend Draco. He's the Warrior Instructor in charge of Conway City."

"I'll be sure to do that Instructor Roy."

"Well alright then. In order to get your first skill you must go slash that dummy five hundred times."

Arthur nodded and quickly arrived in front of the wooden dummy with his chipped wooden sword in hand.

Arthur swiftly lifted his sword and swung it at the dummy with his full force.

{Swift Slash - Begginer Skill}

[Able to deal 100% more damage than your normal attack , attack speed will also increase by 20%. Cooldown Time - 120 seconds.

Rate of Progress towards unlocking Swift Slash 1/500]

After seeing that notification Arthur steeled his mind and slashed at the dummy yet again.

[ Rate of Progress 10/500]

[Rate of Progress 50/500]

[Rate of Progress 150/500]

[Rate of Progress 300/500]

[Rate of Progress 450/500]

*pant* *pant*

"Just.. one more end I'll finally finish."

Arthur wiped the beads of sweat off of his forehead before agiley lifting his sword and swinging it at the wooden dummy with his full force behind it.

[Skill - Swift Slash has been attained]

Arthur quickly realised he hadn't even looked at his attributes and quickly said "STATUS".

Arthur carefully read through his status screen and with shining eyes clicked on skills. When he read the details of Swift Slash he was shocked to see how strong it is as he got it at the start of the game.

It had gotten slightly dark in Conquest now as it has already been two hours since Arthur started hitting the wooden dummy, which shockingly sustained no damage whatsoever.

Arthur slowly walked back to Instructor Roy and said "I've completed your task Instructor Roy. I've also successfuly attained the skill - Swift Slash."

"Oho~ and you completed it in a short two hours. To congratulate you on completing your first task I guess I'll give you my old sword."

[ Item Attained - Instructor Roy's Steel Training Sword. ] [Do you accept?]

Arthur hurriedly thanked Instructor Roy with beaming eyes and a jubilant smile "Thank you very much Instructor Roy, I'll be sure to use it well."

"I'm sure you will kid. Anyway you should get going now, I heard that there's packs of wild boars attacking the Village recently. Go speak to the Chief if you would like to know more."

"Okay Instructor Roy, I'll get going now." said Arthur as he turned around and slowly walked out of the training grounds.

It took Arthur ten minutes to arrive in front of the Village Chiefs home and was pleasantly surprised to see that the line has thinned considerably with only three people left in line.

Arthur quickly got in line and only had to wait five minutes before he was allowed into the Chiefs chambers by his maids.

"Hello there Brave warrior, what brings you to my humble abode." said the old man with a reasurring smile as he sat in a rocking chair near the window.

"I was wondering if you need help with anything around the village."

"Hmm, well actually there has been an increase in the monsters attacking us recently so it would be a great help to me and the Village if you could kill some." replied the Chief in a solemn voice with worry filling his eyes.

[Quest]

{Go into the forest and kill twenty boars. To prove you have completed the quest you must return and hand the Village Chief twenty Pristine Boar Tusks.

Reward for completion: fifty Bronze coins and 50 exp.

Failure to Complete Quest: Your reputation in the village will regress from Close to Neutral.

Time Limit: None.}

[Accept] [Decline]

Arthur hurriedly pushed the floating box that has Accept written inside of it as time seemed to have stopped when the quest notification appeared.

As soon as Arthur pushed accept, time returned to normal and Arthur saw the Chief silently staring at him.

He quickly realised that to the Chief he was just standing there not responding so he immediately responded with "It would be my honour to aid the village."

"I'm glad to hear that." replied the chief as the worry in his eyes instantly dissipated as if it was never there in the first place.

Arthur quickly bade farewell to the Chief as he was in a rush to quickly complete his first quest.

Arthur ran to the furthest forest from his location as that would mean there would be less competition in killing boars.

It took Arthur five minutes to finally reach his destination and the first thing he saw was a Wild Boar feeding on some grass.

Arthur got a strange feeling from the boar as if it can kill him with just one swipe of its hooves.

Arthur finally curbed his irrational fears after a few seconds and prepared his sword so as to fight the boar.

Arthur slowly lifted his Steel sword and sprinted at the Boar with all his might.
