59- Maze Dungeon

As the walls were about to squash them, everyone hear Azi's yell, they turned towards him and saw a small slit in the falls that was enough to fit a human, they immediately dashed towards the slit and avoided being squashed by the moving walls.

*Boom!

The walls collided with each other but didn't destroy each other, it then started separating from each other, once they made sure the walls were already away, they came out from the slit.

"There are traps here too?" Raven exclaimed, they also had their fair share of exploring caves but this is the first time he had seen a place with a trap like this, it was like they moved from the stone age to Renaissance in one go.

"You guys may not notice it since we are busy being trained by Leader but, this place is already different, one thing I noticed is that, everything is not made of blocks anymore," Azi said as he pointed on the ground, everyone looked at it and was surprised to see a small mound on the ground.

"It is reality, not a game anymore" Azi added as he sighed, games were mostly simple just like Alter Online in which said to be realistic still looked like a game but this time, going inside Midgard, the game became real, and their lives became the game.

"Enough thinking about that, we need to proceed immediately, we only have few supplies with us" Chris commanded, they only have a little of supplies brought with them, 5 bottles of water and 10 pieces of food that were enough to last them about 2 days.

They also have to eat food when they take damage to recover, everyone looked at each other and nodded in tactic understanding, they then carefully proceeded inside this time minding their steps and also looking out for potential danger.

*Swooosh!

From the dark path in front of them, an arrow came whistling towards them, Chris was the first to step up and deflect the arrow with her iron dagger, she then looked in front and saw silhouettes of while bones, "More are coming!" she warned everyone.

And just as she shouted, a rain of arrows came aiming towards them, everyone tried their best to deflect the arrows but it was just too much, they then started retreating while backing away, "There is a door here!" Azi reported as he saw a door just behind them.

"Check it if it's safe!"

"Going in!" Azi pushed open the door with a sword in his hand and just as he entered inside, a series of clicks and the sound of metalwork resounded around the room, he then noticed the biggest statue in the middle started lighting up, Azi immediately got anxious and yelled towards the others "It's a trap room! everyone get behind the door!"

Just as everyone was about to go behind the door, the statue finally fully lit up and from its mouth, flames spewed out wanting to devour everything on its path, "Ah!" Azi groaned from pain as his hand got caught in fire, but he immediately shook it off and continued holding on to the door.

The flames spread out and turned towards the skeletons that were charging towards them, the skeletons got devoured by flames leaving nothing behind, but everyone didn't celebrate, they immediately noticed they got the burnt effect, their hp was continuously decreasing at a very fast speed.

They immediately took out their food and immediately ate it wanting to recover their hp resisting burning to death, the fire lasted a few seconds before it was extinguished, everyone breathed in a sigh of relief.

They all sat on the ground panting heavily, it was a very scary and thrilling experience, 'Is that what Mark called living your life fully?' they thought, every second there felt like an eternity, one mistake could cause their death even losing all their hard-worked levels.

"How many supplies do you guys have left, report" Chris called out.

"I have 6 food left and 2 water bottles"

"The same"

"I have 7 food and 1 water bottle"

"I still have 6 food and 4 water bottles"

"Good, I also have 7 food and 3 water bottle" Chris nodded, it was a very tough escape for them, "is this a maze dungeon?" she wondered, maze dungeons are hard to find and they were full of traps and getting your way out was almost impossible, it was one of the most difficult dungeons in Alter Online.

-10 minutes later-

Everyone had enough rest and decided to continue their journey, they looked around the room and there were no more traps, but they saw a chest just near the statue, "Everyone, be careful, it may trigger another trap"

"Yes"

Everyone proceeded towards the chest cautiously, their movement may be slow but as long as it's safe, it didn't take long for them to reach the chest, " I will go, I have the highest agility here" Chris said and stood in front of the chest.

Everyone then scattered away from the chest and was ready if anything happens, Chris took a deep breath and opened the chest, the moment she opened the chest, she immediately dashed away.

*Creak!

The chest opened, everyone waited for a few seconds but seeing no traps were triggered they sighed in relief, they returned back to the chest, "It has decent loots"

There was a few pieces of gold ingot, along with some miscellaneous materials, there was also iron armor and a Gem, everyone nodded and decided to give the armor to Chris since she was the one in charge of opening the chest they found.

Everyone then left the room and continued to proceed deeper inside the maze dungeon.

"..."

Outside, Mark looked at the time and it has been 3 hours since the group entered, "it's time, they didn't die which is good, time to go in then" Mark stretched his body, he didn't have any armor nor a shield on his hand, he also didn't bring any food and water, just a trusty two daggers on his hand.
