If you want to treat me, then you'll have to kiss me

Mei jingjing jumped into the water, she looked around but no sign of Li Jie, the guards had already gotten into the water with her.

Mei jingjing brought her head out of the water but no trace of Master Li Jie.

"Master Li Jie!" she called out but no response, she was starting to get scared now, no no, this can't happen, she has to find him, she held her breath and got into the water. she noticed the water was shallow underneath, she swam deeper heading towards the bottom of the lake.

Li Jie was being dragged down by the insanely strong huge beast, he tried to free himself from it's grip but it was quite strong, he brought out a small dagger from his pocket and stabbed the beast hand with it, the beast growled and immediately let go of his arm.

Li Jie swam to the top but was held by the beast again, the two continued to fight underwater.

Mei jingjing swam deeper leaving weng Lie stunned.

"Someone stop her or else she might die."

The guards hurried down to stop her, Mei jingjing finally caught sight of Li Jie and the beast as the two fought under water, Li Jie missed every sharp claw it sent his way.

Mei jingjing looked around anxiously for something to help him with, she saw the small dagger and hurriedly swam to get it, she grabbed the dagger, although petrified, she mustered the courage and swam to the beast.

Li Jie noticed her coming his way which gave the beast a chance to claw it's sharp nails on his chest staining the water with red blood.

Mei jingjing gasped at the sight, oh no!, master Li Jie is hurt?!.she glared at the weird looking beast, how dare it hurt master Li Jie like that, her fear was suddenly erased by the anger which kept building inside of her, she hurriedly went to stab the beast on it's back, it growled painfully and she kept on stabbing without stopping which weakened it completely.

She stopped and hurried over to Li Jie who clutched his chest painfully.

The guards got to her on time and helped get Li Jie up to the surface again and they brought him out of the water, she coughed out water as well but Li Jie had already passed out.

"No no no, master Li Jie!" she hurried over to him.

"Get up master Li Jie." she pressed her hands to his chest so he could cough out water but he wasn't responding, no he can't die, he has to save everyone first, what will she tell the Queen.

"master Li Jie get up." without thinking she pressed her lips unto his giving him a mouth to mouth breathing.

The guards looked away while weng Lie frowned.

Li Jie suddenly coughed giving Mei jingjing a light of hope.

"master Li Jie."

He coughed out a lot of water as she helped him sit upright. The guards were relieved seeing he was alright.

She placed both her hands on his cheeks making him face her.

"Are you alright master Li Jie?" the concerned Mei jingjing asked, he stared at her without replying.

Did she actually risked her life to save him?!

Li Jie glanced at the water to see the beast glaring at Mei jingjing,no one noticed the beast and before it could strike her, Li Jie pushed her out of the way and the beast ended up clawing it's extremely sharp nails on Li Jie's chest except this time, Li Jie glared daggers at it.

"How dare you try to hurt my wife!" he was enraged and held the beast's hand breaking it into two, the guards attacked it striking it down with their swords.

Li Jie got to his feet and even though he was in severe pains, he was enraged by the fact it tried to go after his wife, he didn't even move a finger and the water were rising at his command, he stood still and kept his murderous gaze at the beast, the water lashed at the beast and the current shoved it Faraway from the cave.

Mei jingjing was dumbfounded, Li Jie just saved her life. only when the beast was gone did he start feeling the pain the beast inflicted on him as he bleeded, before Mei jingjing could get to him, he was enveloped in a sudden darkness.

He could smell the wonderful breeze with the mixture of nice flowers, he could feel he was lying on a bed, wait, weren't they in the cave?

His eyes slowly flutter open, everything was a blur he had to blink several times so his eyes could adjust to the light.

He was in a room made of bamboo sticks which looked elegant and simple, the craftsmanship was nice and there was an open window where the wonderful breeze blew from, he didn't notice the stubborn headed girl resting her head on the bed he was laid on.

He forced himself to sit upright but his little movement woke Mei jingjing up from her sleep, she met Li Jie's gaze and she smiled.

"You're awake." she exclaimed and sat upright.

His handsome face gazed at his bandaged wound, it held no sign of pain, how is he able to hide such amount of pain like that?

"Where is this place?" he asked.

"After you passed out, we came back to the village and one of the villagers was kind enough to help us treat your wound and also allowed us to stay for the night."

He clicked his tongue "How did you guys get out of the cave?"

She smiled. "I found a small path that led to the outside of the cave, smart right?" she said but what he did next left her stunned as he flicked her forehead gazing arrogantly at her.

"You stubborn woman!, why'd you jump into the water?, what if you got hurt?!" he scolded her.

She rubbed her forehead pouting sadly, "I saved your life and this is the thank you I get?"

"Just don't do something so foolish like that again!"

"Of course I'll do it, I'm your protector after all and I gave the Queen my word."

The two couples glared at each other not wanting to accept the fact they were both worried about each other.

He sighed painfully making Mei jingjing tense up.

"Are... are you alright?, d.... does it hurt?"

she wanted to touch his wound but he stopped her, his cloth had been taken off leaving his chest bare, even with the fact it was wrapped with a bandage, his smooth hard chest would make any girl drool over him, those sexy abbs,the broad shoulders, he wasn't muscular, just perfect, how come she didn't notice how attractive he looked right now?, maybe it's cause she was all bent on making sure he was alright.

He snapped a finger at her face jolting her from her thoughts.

"What are you thinking about?" he asked, she shook her head.

"N... nothing."

He hissed in pain and tried to relax.

"Does it hurt that much, let me add some herbs to reduce the pain.

"No."

"Why?"

"If you want to treat me, then you'll have to kiss me."

Mei jingjing stared at him in a daze, did she hear him right?, no maybe she didn't, she even cleaned her ear just to be sure she heard him right.

"W..... what did you say again?"

"Kiss me." he said it without hesitation, she was his wife afterall so it's his right.

"No I will not!" she got to her feet glaring at him.

"I'm in so much pain and you're supposed to be my protector, if I end up dieing, what will you say to my mother?"

He knew he was being silly, but he can't stop himself, what has she done to him?.

Mei jingjing pursed her lips, he's using the Queen against her now.

"W..... why should I do that, kisses won't heal your wounds, herbs will now stop joking around and let me apply the herbs."

"I'm not joking, if you want to treat me, then you'll do as I say."

She glared at him, if the case was different, she'd kill him herself, she thought ignoring the fact she risked her own life to save his.

She sat beside him on the bed glaring at him but his handsome face had satisfaction written over it, he loves it when she gets mad.

She lowered her gaze and stared at his thin pink lips which looked really tempting, she closed her eyes tightly feeling nervous.

He tried so hard not to laugh at her expression right now, she brought her face closer to his.

Just one kiss Mei jingjing and it will be over, just one kiss. she tried to comfort herself and kissed him immediately with their lips touching, she moved away covering her mouth with her palm as the two stared at each other wide eyed.

Was it just him or has this wife of his never kissed in her life?

Mei jingjing on the other hand couldn't believe she just lost her first kiss to the man she plans on running away from, her cheeks flushed pink.

Two old couples stepped in holding a bowl of soup and met the two young couples gazing at each other.

Mei jingjing hurriedly got to her feet and turned around only to come in contact with the old couples.

Her eyes goggled at them, did they see her kiss master Li Jie?
