Wage a War l

At the garden of Lijiang Kingdom, Daiyu sat on the soft grass waiting for Mei jingjing to show up, isn't it strange, falling for the same person and still act so calm towards each other, she could see Mei jingjing running towards her from the hallway.

"I've got my stick." she grinned while running towards her like the stick was some kind of award, Daiyu shook her head hopelessly, Mei jingjing has the heart of a child at times.

"What are you so happy about?" she asked in a neutral tone.

"I can't wait to start my training that's all." Mei jingjing said with a smile.

Daiyu got to her feet and held her stick firmly.

"First of all, you need to be serious with this. swordsmanship isn't a child's game." she said strictly, Mei jingjing remained quiet staring at Daiyu's gorgeous face, She wondered how master Li Jie could reject someone so beautiful.

"What do we do first teacher Daiyu? she asked.

"What do you know about sword fighting?"

Mei jingjing thought for a while scratching her head. "Isn't it just a battle between two people?"

Daiyu pointed her stick at Mei jingjing making her gasp. She smirked.

"Two things Mei jingjing, never get distracted, you never know when your opponent might attack, learn to stay focus even in a conversation."

She lowered her stick making Mei jingjing catch her breath.

"Phew!, for a sec I thought you wanted to hit me."

"I wouldn't do that, not now at least."

Mei jingjing stepped back looking alarmed, Daiyu always says things which makes her grow cautious of her.

"Ready for today's practice?"

Mei jingjing nodded.

"Great, do you know what a counter attack is?"

"No." she shook her head honestly.

"Ever heard what leader Chang always said?"

Mei jingjing shook her head again unable to understand where Daiyu was going with this.

Daiyu held her stick even tighter. "Always use the disciple as your experiment."

Mei jingjing raised a curious eyebrow. "He never said that."

"I Know." she launched at Mei jingjing.

Li Jie sat under the plum tree, Chyou fen beside him.

"If you want to learn, we need a flute which we clearly don't have right now."

"What do we do about it then?" Li Jie asked.

"We could go shop for it."

"Noway, has leader Chang ever used you for experiment?"

Chyou fen shook her head. "I guess that's because I'm still a kid."

"Just keep hoping he doesn't."

Chyou fen didn't understand what he meant but brushed it off.

Zhang Wei showed up. "Chyou fen, when was the last time you practiced your martial arts?"

Chyou fen gawked at him. "Leader Chang isn't complaining, leave me alone."

Zhang Wei rolled his eyes at her but suddenly met Li Jie's gaze, he stared at his golden eyes and couldn't stop himself from asking.

"Is it normal to have such eye colour?"

Li Jie wasn't expecting such a question and didn't know how to reply to that not untill Chyou fen spoke up.

"Of course it is, I have blue eyes, he has golden, you have brown, we all have different eye colour's." she said in a tone which meant he should know all this.

Zhang Wei gawked at her, chyou fen and her sharp mouth, Zhang Wei said nothing to her and glanced at Li Jie.

"How did you survive such deep injuries?, clearly your heart wasn't beating when we found you, are you some kind of a powerful immortal or something?." he asked keeping his gaze on Li Jie, the boy seemed smart, he doesn't look like someone who'd easily be deceived and at such a young age, Li Jie couldn't help but feel impressed.

"It's a long story which I clearly can't tell right now." Li Jie stated with a slight smile on his lips.

"What is your name?"

"Zhang Wei." he bowed politely at Li Jie. "What about you?"

"He's my guardian angel, the second prince of Lijiang kingdom." Chyou fen blurted out before she could stop herself.

Zhang Wei's eyes grew wider in disbelief. "Did you say prince of Lijiang kingdom?"

Chyou fen nodded but she wasn't expecting Zhang Wei to push her off from her seat and took her spot immediately sitting next to Li Jie, she gaped at him while he kept his gaze on Li Jie.

"I knew there was something different about you, it's an honour to finally meet you, you're a true hero according to what I've heard, you've succeeded in dealing with the three seal beasts, I want to be just like you when I grow up."

Li Jie wasn't even given the chance to speak as Zhang Wei carried on not untill Chyou fen kicked him off her seat.

"He's my guardian angel, who gave you the right to talk to him?"

"Did you really have to kick me that hard?" he grimaced rubbing his back, Chyou fen tilted her head up stubbornly.

"Hmph!!, that's what you get for stealing my seat!"

Li Jie only watched them, they remind him of how much Mei jingjing enjoys arguing with him.

Mei jingjing still practiced with Daiyu in the garden.

Mei jingjing tried the counter attack but Daiyu keeps figuring out her moves and clears her down the next minute, Mei jingjing remained breathless on the floor.

"How come you figure out my moves before I even do them?" Mei jingjing asked finding it hard to understand how Daiyu keeps clearing her down and still stands strong.

"Sword fighting isn't for the weak."

"I'm not weak!"

"We haven't even done anything yet and you're already passing out."

"What do you mean we haven't done anything, we stayed out here all through the afternoon just so you could teach me how to fight."

Daiyu chuckled. "All we did today was learn the counter attack and teach you how to parry and I have to admit that you my dear are terrible." she teased.

Mei jingjing gawked at her "No I'm not." she got to her feet not wanting to accept defeat. "It's just I haven't eaten yet and I'm tired, that's why."

Daiyu rolled her eyes at her words, Mei jingjing nodded to her own words.

"That must be the reason, I'm going to eat something and then recover my strength back."

She walked out, Daiyu had nothing to say to her, Mei jingjing is so stubborn to talk to.

Mei jingjing walked along the hallway Wondering what she was going to have for dinner and happened to pass by Weng Lie's room, she overheard him talking to someone and judging from his voice, he didn't sound happy at all, it clearly wasn't her business but she couldn't stop herself from eavesdropping.

She leaned on his door placing her ear on it so she could listen to their conversation, Weng Lie was clearly enraged.

"What are you saying to me!!" Weng Lie raged at the guard who trembled in fear.

"That's the truth sir, someone says they've been rumors of the young master being spotted at Bixia."

"That's a lie!!, who dares to spread such fake rumors?!"

Mei jingjing gasped, did she just heard right?!

"I have no idea your emperor, but I just happened to get the information from Bixia, I never saw who the person was, I just overheard it."

Weng Lie was enraged and a dark force swept through him shattering all the glass windows.

"No, Li Jie can't be alive!!, he can't be!" he was so angry he saw red.

"I'll have to find out the real truth, we are going to wage a war with Bixia, only then can I gain access to the place."

Mei jingjing on the other hand was on cloud nine, she rested her back on the door as her heart suddenly raced, tears sprung from her eyes, her Li Jie is alive, he's alive. She couldn't hide how excited she was and dashed into her room locking the door shut.

She paced around the room, could it be true?!, was her husband really back, is he actually alive?!. If he is, she has to get to him before Weng Lie does.
