The sincere old servant

The servant named Tom pushed my wheelchair and walked into the house. However, I was filled with the desire to return to the party to question Chris about my mother whereabouts.

"Where are you taking me? I don't want to leave."

"Miss, don't be rash. If you asked them, they wouldn't say anything."

The lie detection system made a sound similar to "Pass, Safe." I was stunned for a moment. I could not help it and looked at the middle-aged man in front of me.

He wore a black tuxedo, and his hair was meticulously combed. He was completely a refined butler. However, most importantly, the way he looked at me was filled with unspeakable complexity and heartache.

I then recalled that before I entered the hospital and was framed by my detestable father and sister, Tom, that was in front of me, had stayed in this main residence for many years and accompanied me in obscurity.

In my impression, he was a servant who has been the closest to my mother.

My mother had a very good relationship with him and treated him as an older brother rather than a simple servant.

Therefore, from a young age, Tom has doted on me very much.

In this family full of conspiracies, it could be said that he was the only person who knew me well and treated me sincerely.

I could not help but revealed my true feelings. "Uncle Tom, it's good that you're still here! Did mother come home during this period of time? Do you know where she went?!"

Tom lovingly stroked my hair.

"Miss, you're finally back!" He did not answer my question. However, he asked me, "Did the master keep you locked up? No matter how much I tried to find out about you, I couldn't find anything!"

I nodded and told him about my car accident and being trapped in the hospital.

He angrily clenched his hands. "That b*stard! He was simply an ingrate! A year ago, Catherine wanted to focus on developing the Radiant Foundation. That was why she made Chris the President, and he had full control over the company's affairs."

Catherine was my mother's name. It could be said that only uncle Tom could call her by her name so affectionately and worried for her with me.

Tom said angrily, "However, he betrayed her trust. After Catherine went missing, he only pretended to look for her for a while. He excitedly prepared to go public not long after that! In order to continue staying here and look for clues, I had to pretend to be loyal to him."

I have long known that my father was a mercenary, but was he the cause of my mother's disappearance? How did he do it? These questions kept lingering in my mind.

Tom also had some doubts about this.

"Catherine's disappearance was very sudden. I only know that she left with the formula. Suddenly, I couldn't contact her! That old fox, Chris refused to say anything. The prescription for the new product that they introduced must be her work. Therefore, her disappearance would be related to him!"

Seeing the wrinkles at the corners of Uncle Tom's eyes, I sighed and comforted him.

"Don't worry. I came back this time to chase away those bad guys and get my mother back! However, all of this would require your help!"

Tom looked at my calm and mature face and sighed, "Ten years ago, you were a cute and immature little princess. I thought you would be happy for the rest of your life. I didn't expect you to have so many disasters. Now, you have really grown up."

We were immersed in such a sad and touching moment that we did not notice that a man was eavesdropping outside the door.

I was about to find the father-daughter pair and question them on the new product, but I almost bumped into Ken as I pushed the door open.

"You... Why were you standing here without making a sound?!"
