The ball

A ball was being held in the Grand Hotel lobby.

The guests were all high-class people. They were all well-dressed, held cold champagne in their hands and talked loudly.

However, I was struggling in the dressing room.

"Why do I have to go to a ball all of a sudden? I'm not good at makeup." I complained in distress and looked at the half-finished makeup in the mirror.

After all, I used a scalpel in my previous life and not a makeup brush.

The makeup room was always a place that men would not set foot in. However, Ken stood beside me and looked at my flustered appearance with interest.

I pursed my lips. "Go wait outside. I'm really embarrassed to be stared at by you."

Ken's lips curled into a smile as he bent down and took the makeup brush from my hand. He held my face and gently applied makeup on me.

"How strange. I heard that before Miss Elena was admitted to the hospital, she loved to put on makeup. Have you forgotten about that?"

I laughed dryly and changed the topic. "What about you, Mr. Ken? You are a grown man. How do you know how to put on makeup? Do you often apply makeup for women?"

At this moment, this handsome man was extremely close to me. He was so close that if he moved even a little closer, he would be able to kiss me.

His warm breath filled my nostrils.

The soft brush danced as if it tickled my heart.

Ken said casually, "I wanted to dress you up. You would be the first woman I had ever wanted to."

He held my chin and stroked my lips with his fingers. He then applied lipstick to my lips with lust in his eyes.

"Kitty," He said in a low voice, "Your lips are beautiful. They looked great for kissing."

When our lips were about to touch, I realized something.

I woke up, pushed him away shyly, and changed.

When I came out again, I wore a red fishtail dress.

It spun around like a rose in full bloom.

Ken's eyes were filled with amazement. He held my hand tightly and kissed me on the lips. He asked affectionately, "Beautiful lady, may I have the honor to dance with you?"

..

On the dance floor, Ken wrapped his arms around my waist and started dancing.

Our bodies were close to each other and it was so intimate that we were like a true couple.

Everyone could not help but looked at me and discussed about me.

"My god, Ken brought a date? She would be his mysterious girlfriend."

"Although she's pretty, Catherine was also very beautiful. Ken broke off his engagement with her. Just how much did he love her?"

"I heard that she could return to the Flying Bird because of Ken. If only I had a boyfriend like Ken to back me up!"

The surrounding rumors distracted me, and my dance steps became messy. Finally, I asked Ken directly, "Why did you bring me here?"

Ken lowered his eyes. "I wanted you to be my shield so that these girls would stop eyeing me."

The answer was reasonable, and I could understand it.

However, my lie detection system told me that Ken was lying!

Ken was not surprised by my disbelief. However, he started to think about how I could tell that he was lying.

"Well, there was another reason. I wanted everyone to know about you so that grandfather could be at ease."

His words were half true and false. The lie detector did not respond, so I took it as the truth.

"However, you will have a hard time explaining our relationship to everyone when it is over," I said worriedly.

Ken smiled but did not say anything because he wanted our relationship to be unexplainable, forever.
