Chapter 6

"Raphael, don't do this, this is stupid", Clarissa, Chad's mother said. "Stop nagging me woman, I'm going to earth and that's final", Chad's father said.

Raphael Greene was a top dog scientist and he had just been paid by the president to be the first Saturnine to travel to earth.

"Are you completely stupid, they'll kill you the minute you touch ground, I mean look at how you're dressed", she said and gestured to his clothes.

He wore a military camouflage outfit with a small gun in each of the six trouser pockets, a backsword and a pocket knife.

"You're going there for research not war", she said again. "I have to meet my brother and you know how that goes, oh and take care of my little boy", he said and walked out of the door.

"Of course I'll take care of him, I'm not a complete idiot like his father you know ", she said and ran after him.

Raphael smirked ,"That's good", he said and suddenly pushed a little boy of between two to four years towards her.

"His mother delivered him to me three months ago and I think it's better he grows up with his siblings", he said and turned to go.

Clarissa's eye twitched and she went red from anger, "You have a son outside?,  you cheated on me,  you bastard son of a bitch", she started. He turned back and smiled, "You were getting kinda stale, I needed something new", he said.

All of the sudden, she slapped him. "Die for all I care, you don't deserve my pity", she said and walked into the house as she hoisted the little boy on her hip.

Raphael clenched his teeth, 'This woman dared to slap me', he thought. He was about to change his mind about earth so he could stay to punish her, but the money was on his mind.

He entered his car and zoomed off to the president's office.

Clarissa watched her husband zoom off and a tear slipped down her cheek. The little boy in her arms was trembling and probably scared to death.

She put him down and smiled at him. "What's your name darling? ", she asked.

He hesitated but eventually replied.

"I'm Fabian", he said in a cute little voice.

She smiled again.

'This boy looks just like Chad, just like Raphael', she thought. "How old are you? ", she asked again. This time he replied bravely ," Two years, eleven months and 10 days", he smiled proudly. That was probably very old to him.

'Just like Raphael's son to know how many days old he is', she said to herself.

"Do you know where your mom is Fabian?", she asked. He shook his head.

"I don't have a mom, I live at St Lewis Orphanage", he said and smiled albeit a little sadly.

'That bastard', she thought. He lied about Fabian's mother dropping him. The woman probably left Fabian to his own devices since he was born and Raphael waited for the perfect moment to introduce him to her.

"Do you wanna live here baby? ", she asked. Fabian blinked and shyly nodded. She smiled.

"April, May, June, July, Chad!", Clarissa called her children. Three seconds later, footsteps as loud as stampeding elephants were heard coming down the stairs.

"Moooom, it's Mai not May", the 16 Year old said. "Yeah and it's Julian not July, I mean you named us!", the 12 year old Julian said annoyed. Clarissa chuckled.

"I know, I know... Your dad has finally left for earth and we have a new addition to the family. Everyone meet Fabian", she said.

As expected, the girls were mature about the departure of their father and instead fawned over how cute Fabian was.

Chad though didn't take the news very well. The 6 year old walked away from the group and sniffled quietly to himself. Clarissa couldn't blame him. He was the closest to Raphael and didn't get to say goodbye.

"Chad, don't be sad. Daddy will come back. Maybe he'll even bring some alien sweets along okay? ", she said and Chad calmed down a little bit.

" Go play with your brother", she said and Chad weaved his way through his sisters. "Hi Fabian,  I'm Chad, do you want to bounce on my bed? ", he said enthusiastically.

Fabian shrinked into himself but eventually nodded. Chad smiled and used his tiny hand to pull Fabian's even tinier hand.

"Be careful Chad he's a lot younger than you... ", Clarissa shouted in vain. The girls smiled and left the living room to their mother.
