An Invitation to the Hao Family

"Teacher!"

The squeals of the children brought Lillian out of her reverie. She turned to see a few kids who came to meet her in the teacher's room. They were observing her with their large doey eyes, waiting for her to address them.

"You told us to hand in our art homework during recess," one of the little boys said.

"Oh!" she exclaimed. "Yes. Your art homework!"

She smiled at them and said, "Thank you for your hard work, kids!"

Lillian took their homework and put them on a neat pile. The children were still standing there, waiting to say something to her.

"Teacher, we have decided on a show for the Spring Festival!" a girl chimed up. "We want to do Hickory Dickory Dock!"

"Hickory Dickory Dock?" Lillian asked. "The nursery rhyme? The entire class wants to do a performance on that?"
