At The Cafe

"Tick tock!" a boy in a clock costume chimed on the stage. "Hickory dickory dock goes tick tock tick tock!"

Children were lined up along the stage in their costumes, practicing the play Lillian had prepared for them. They were all excited to participate and perform the play in front of their parents. Lillian was fixing their clothes and the set design to make sure that everything would go well on the day of the play.

"Where's our cute mouse?" Lillian asked, looking for the kid who was going to play the mouse in the story. "Rena?"

"Here teacher!" Rena exclaimed. "I'm here!"

She was itching her body because the costume was too stuffy and she felt hot. Lillian noticed her discomfort.

"Is the costume too much?" she asked in a gentle voice.

"It's itchy!"

Lillian addressed the kids. "Children, let's call it a day today!" she declared. "Who wants lemonade?"

"Me!" all the kids began to chant. "Me!"
