An Old Acquaintance

The rain was falling hard, splashing on the empty street. A thin old man was the only person on the road. He carried an umbrella and kept on looking backwards to make sure he was not being followed. The man wore a long overcoat, hiding the driver's uniform beneath. His white hair was damp and he headed for a telephone booth which was far from Lucas' mansion.

Sam was scared to death but he had no choice. His heart was thumping hard and he was still hesitant of what he was doing. Still, the millions of dollars he received from the Wang's was enough to pay off his debts.

He quickly headed for the booth and dialed Henry Wang's number.

Back in his lavish apartment, Henry picked up his phone. "You have news, I believe," Henry said.

"Yes sir!" Sam said at once. "The Young Mistress is now always accompanied by the guards in secret. It's impossible to go near her. Gab or Thomas stay with me almost all the time so I can't even kidnap her."
