Unaware of their shared connection, Lillian is initially fearful of the Demon of the Underworld.

But soon, she finds herself drawn to her husband, like a moth to a flame while the darkly dangerous mafia lord cannot resist the irresistible charm of his wife. 

She is his light. He is her doom. 

What will happen to this complicated love? Can they overcome all obstacles and live a happy life? Or will their nightmares ruin their newfound happiness?

 “What will I get if I win?” Lillian demanded. He put a finger under her chin to make her meet his eyes.

Lilliand and Elora's faces went pale at that word. Stella and Jeremy nodded.

"We didn't know about it at first," Jeremy said. "But someone had cut off the wire which held the elevator. It was done deliberately."

"After she died, Jacob was badly affected," Stella gritted. "Dorothy was a dear friend and companion to him. He was not in love with her but he cared a lot for her. After her death, he forgot how to smile."

"That's when Sheila began to take care of him. She was attentive and sweet to him, always making sure he ate on time and was not overworking himself. Sheila was with him nearly everyday to keep him company."
