But soon, she finds herself drawn to her husband, like a moth to a flame while the darkly dangerous mafia lord cannot resist the irresistible charm of his wife. 

She is his light. He is her doom. 

What will happen to this complicated love? Can they overcome all obstacles and live a happy life? Or will their nightmares ruin their newfound happiness?

 “What will I get if I win?” Lillian demanded. He put a finger under her chin to make her meet his eyes.

Trials of Fire & Love

Lillian froze in fear upon seeing him. Her heart is panicking and she tugs at the ropes hard. Aidan is wearing a night robe, indicating he was wearing nothing inside. Lillian squirmed when he approached the bed, smirking an evil grin as if he was imagining what he was going to do to her.

"What are you doing?" She whispered. "Lucas will kill you!"

"Your dear Lucas doesn't know that you're here," he claimed. A long finger touches her hair making Lillian feel disgusted. Aidan touched her cheek, feeling its softness. She was trembling in both fear and disgust. Seeing this man was sickening to her and she was looking for ways to escape this situation.

"Do you have any idea for how long I've been imagining this, Lily?" he asked her in a soft tone. "Ever since I saw you in that sexy green dress. To think, Lucas Hao enjoys you every night in bed! It really is enticing…"
