Chapter 103: Lights and Virginia, Part 1

Elgin National, Present Day, Clock Tower Room

Centehua was cleaning up and mentally preparing for her time training with Mrs. Ansonia Phelps, which was scheduled for later that afternoon. She missed Howie, even though he hadn't been gone very long. That's the funny thing about time travel. The time spent in the past is no time at all to the ones left in the present. That is, unless there is a mishap, so most of the time spent on Pilgrimages comes from physical travel.

She had become accustomed to hanging out in the Clock Tower room, National's appliance center, and working there so she could be around Howie and Louie. Now, as she spent time in there, she felt alone and lonesome.

Her thoughts were interrupted when a hoarse voice came from the doorway.

"Hey there, Centehua," Lesley said, through a facemask.

"Rammy, I thought you were home sick today," Centehua replied.

"I was feeling too antsy at home. Have you seen Seth?"
