Thankfully, having to keep up with Nesha’s abnormally long strides didn’t give Neivayka much time to brood on the girl’s attitude. It certainly didn’t help that the wolf girl was a good foot taller than Neivayka forcing her to half jog just to keep up.

Only once they hit the very edge of the town did Nesha slow down considerably and give Neivayka a moment to finally catch her breath.

However, she quickly discovered that the only reason Nesha slowed down was to scavenge the bushes for something.

“What are you looking for?” Neivayka huffed.

“The portal,” Nesha clipped.
