Chapter 46

Neivayka stood on the familiar beach horrified at the power of the storm that was pounding it. She listened to Steval and had pictured a place she would feel calm and safe. Out of nowhere, she found herself on a familiar beach in the middle of a deluge she hadn’t had the power to stop or change. All she could do was stand there and witness the chaos it brought.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?”

She spun around so fast that her head almost continued in circles. Inches from her stood Lorimer in all his false beauty.

“Wh-what are you doing here?” she stuttered out.

“You built this place for us, my sweet. Why would I not visit it?” Lorimer asked sweetly.

His handsome face split into a wide grin that caused her heart to skip a beat against her will. From head to toe, this man was built for women to fawn over. He had an aura of dark perfection and projected kind, soft eyes. Neivayka reminded herself that it was a façade, a gimmick, a way to try to trick her, and that he was soulless and evil.
