If the Shadow finally grasped the last piece of her powers, Neivayka knew that the world would fall swiftly under the Vampire Lords rule.

“Torta was trying to kill Neivayka,” Theo growled, his eyes never leaving the object of his rage.


Torta immediately began to deny the accusations, and the room burst into a shouting match, with no one winning.


“ENOUGH!!” Steval’s voice echoed off the stone walls silencing everyone.


Every eye was on him, yet his eyes were only on Torta. “Torta… what are they talking about?” Steval question him directly.


“They are crazy, Steval. I heard that little beast trying to hurt Neivayka, so I came in to save her!” Torta insisted.


Steval looked over at Pontius in shock. “What makes you say that?”


Pontius hesitated then and closed in on himself. Neivayka hopped off the bed, taking Pete with her. She didn’t trust the little fighter not to try and put in a few more bites on Torta for all the accusations.
