“It’s the access to you that you want to limit. Your power was just a way for it to prey upon you. But if you use that same power to energize the wall. It'll act kind of like a forcefield. Whenever the Shadow touches it, a jolt will hit the Shadow and keep it from wanting to do it again,” he explained.


"Okay, I can sort of understand that,” Neivayka agreed.


“You must be careful not to call on the power you assign to it. Otherwise, the force field will fail, and this will start once more,” Steval warned.


She nodded solemnly, letting him know she understood the caution.


“Good, now touch the wall and push your power into it until it feels electrified. It won’t hurt you, but it’ll remind the Shadow that he’s not playing with any silly human,” he instructed her.
