Chapter 80

“My Queen,” she whimpered out tearfully.

Uncomfortable, Neivayka reached down and pulled the girl to her feet.

“Please, you don’t have to do that,” she insisted.

“But how did you come back?” Shantane asked. “We all saw you fall and not get up.”

“I told you the diacaine. They returned my soul to my body because it was still alive, so technically, I was… am… still alive,” Neivayka told her.

“This is truly a miracle for the ages!” the girl rejoiced. “I can’t wait until the others learn that the Queen has returned to us!”

Neivayka grasped Shantane’s shoulders to try and calm her when another dizzy spell hit; this one was stronger than the last. It slammed into her, and she dropped back onto the bed. She grasped her head and was left reeling from the pain that burst through it.

“Your Majesty! What’s happening?” Shantane cried.

“I…I…” was all that Neivayka could say as she was sucked back into herself.
