She looked around, trying to spot Lorimer. But there was no sign of anyone else beyond Theo.


“You fell out of the cave and would have hit the ground hard if I hadn’t caught you,” Theo told her. Neivayka’s gaze swung to his face. “You mean… you are out there? In the real world with me?”


He smiled widely and nodded. “Shantane found us and brought us to you. We would have been here sooner but, we had to skirt a rather large search group for you.”


“Ah… Lorimer is searching for me,” Neivayka said, unsurprised.


“Yes. Very ardently if the search group is any indication.”


“You must get back,” Neivayka insisted, letting him go and back away. “You guys must leave and get somewhere safe.”


Theo stood as well and gave her a disbelieving look. “Neivayka, I just found you. I am not leaving your side again.”
