“Yes, they are. I only allowed it to stay around because it seemed to be immune to my Voice and Song,” Neivayka admitted.


Neivayka was forced to backtrack on her words a bit after receiving a death glare from the animal.


“I mean, I don’t allow it. Nimbus is staying on her own accord,” Neivayka admitted pacifying the cat.


“Of course, they are immune to your Magick! Trillis are immune to most magic. I'm really surprised that it got infected by the Shadow at all,” Pontius explained.


“The Shadow is a parasite,” a voice came out of the tree behind Nesha.


Nesha jumped and raised her bow to point it straight at Avery’s head. Avery, to her credit, knew she was in trouble and stopped half in and half out of the tree.


“Everyone... this is Avery. She is the guardian of the jungle of Coogar,” Neivayka introduced them.


“Don’t get her started,” Neivayka told him out of the side of her mouth.


“She is a guardian?” Nesha questioned.
