Chapter 113

Neivayka opened her eyes, and for the first time in longer than she could remember, she felt as if she had finally had a really good night’s sleep. She stretched leisurely and stared blurry eyed out the tiny window in her room. The sun was shining extra bright and warm today just for her. She smiled drowsily, feeling lighter than she had in a long while. The incessant whispering was finally gone, and even her heart seemed to beat stronger once more.

Neivayka rolled slowly out of her bed and made a slow game of getting dressed for the day. She dragged out her morning rituals as much as she could, just aching for one more moment of feeling amazing. However, despite all her efforts, even she knew there came a point when she was just dawdling and not getting anything done. Despite her extreme desire to, she could no longer procrastinate.

She opened the door to find a very agitated trillis pacing the hallway and immediately wished that she could have found more to do.
