Fight 2

Although she knew that breaking the halo would make everything easier, she couldn't due to all of them being in formations.

"It really gives them human intellect." muttered Ena.

Covering herself with an aura of chi, she charged towards the mutants with 2 blades of chi in both her palms. In an instant, she was able to weave pass 4 mutants and killing 2 of them by cutting off their heads. She'd rather not destroy the halo and make them brainless monsters since she wouldn't be able to calculate their movements.

A fireball came towards her but was sliced in half using her blade, dodging the ice shards, it struck the mutant behind her and killed one of their own. Ena watched their halos carefully, when they were healing, it turned fully white, when they used magic, it would become black, and when they were using neither of them, it was a mix of black and white.

Ena came at the ones who's halo was turning black, but she was unable to get all of them. Air slashes as well as spikes on the ground came towards her, she was startled by the sudden display of earth magic, but regained her composure. Jumping up to avoid the ground spikes, she used her blade to cut the air slashes.

But Ena wasn't able to see the fireball that came from behind her, she was blasted into a stone pillar. She groaned in pain but quickly recovered by pouring chi to where she got hit. She could feel the burning sensation starting to cool down, focusing back on the mutants in front of her.

She quickly sprinted into an open place.

Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath.

Feel everything.

Remembering everything her instructor taught her, but one advice struck to her, even if it was simple.

It was to stay calm under any circumstances.

Opening her eyes, she could see the dozen mutants coming at her, fireballs, ice pillars, and ground spikes came at her. In her eyes, everything was in slow motion.

「 Chi - Empowered State Activated 」

Her aura flowed back as her fluttered as she appeared before the mutants in an blink of an eye. Swinging her arms horizontally, 2 heads flew off from the mutants body.

With the empowered state, all of her existing abilities were given a great boost.

The mutants didn't stand a chance, even if they were able to get their shot off, they would instantly die due to them being unable to react to Ena's speed. However, the mutants were slowly adapting to Ena's empowered state. Their halos were transferring all types of information through the mutant's brain waves allowing them to adapt almost instantly.

Soon enough, they were able to keep up with Ena's speed. Of course Ena didn't allow this, violet aura bursted from her feet and covered her. She was now quicker than them, but she needed to get rid of the halos as soon as possible. She'd rather have brainless mutants than ones with intellect, they were gaining battle experience from this, but so was Ena.

She was learning how to fight, how to break their formations, and outsmart the halos.

Her blade changed from blades to lightning rods.

Since staying in one place wouldn't put her at an advantage at all, she started running around so the attacks that came at her was harder to hit. Throwing a lightning rod, it missed the target she was aiming for since she wasn't used to attacking while moving.

"I'll need to get used to this quickly."

And that was what she did.

By syncing her movements with her attacks, the lightning rods that were aimed at the halos were now hitting. The mutants who lost their halo became brainless mutants and charged at Ena without any defense. With one arm, she threw the rods at the brainless mutants while simultaneously throwing the lightning rods.

The mutants watched the other mutants lose their halos and go brainless, their brain was telling them to avoid that as much as possible. Copying Ena, they also started running around while attacking her with mini fireballs and boosting their speed with wind.

Canceling the lightning rods, she swung her arm as a dozen spheres of violet chi came out from her palm. All of the magic attacks were negated when it came into contact with the violet orbs.

"This is taking too much time." muttered Ena.

After all, she had to get home soon.

"It's time to end it."

Putting her hands together,

"Chi Projection, Internal Rupturing."

The entire area was filled with orbs of chi, it lighted the entire area up giving it a purple light, but the atmosphere was not aesthetic at all. As the mutants inevitably made contact with the orbs, their insides were damaged instead of the outside. The orbs were now entering the mutant's body and destroying it from the inside.

When the mutants died, their halos would turn into ashes along with them. Though, Ena might've released too much chi, the surrounding walls and pillars were now starting to crumble.

If she stayed here any longer, it would definitely collapse on her.

Due to the amount of chi that was used, she needed to cultivate more if she wanted to survive it.

Not even bothering to check if the mutant's bodies were confirmed dead, she used Chi Concealment to make herself undetectable. It was as if she was in the blind spot's of everyone's eyes, they couldn't see her even though she was right there.

*BOOM*

The underground collapsed as some buildings started to come down. Quickly going up the stairs, she entered the secret alleyway she passed through to get to the tunnel.

No one detected her or even saw her.

"Chi Concealment really is useful."

Sneaking in through the backdoor of her house, she went to her room as fast and silently as possible. Once she got into her room, she quickly changed and threw the dirty clothes that had blood stains in a separated drawer.

When she opened her door to leave the room, her sister was suddenly in front of her.

"Where were you?"
