Starting

"Marie, can you close your eyes for a second?" asked Ena.

"Sure, but is there something you need?" asked Marie, her eyebrows narrowed in confusion.

"No, I just want to check something." said Ena.

"Okay..." muttered Marie.

Ena waited until Marie closed her eyes, she put her hands on the side of Marie's waist, "Eh? Princess?!" yelped Marie.

"Keep your eyes closed." said Ena.

Closing her eyes, she projected her chi into Marie as it made her way inside Marie's brain. Nothing was disturbed and Marie was still herself, though she kept some of her chi inside Marie's brain just in case Alden does manipulate her.

"Alright, everything's fine now." said Ena.

"Okay." replied Marie, although she was still confused, she felt a bit refreshed.

"Are you guys finished?" asked Ellie behind the door.

"Yeah, we're coming out now." said Ena as they left the room.

"Look at them coming out of the closet." said Kiri.

""That wasn't a funny."" Ena and Marie simultaneously said.

"Oh, my bad..." Kiri trailed off as he looked away.

"Back to what we were saying, no one in this room is being manipulated." said Ena.

"How do you know that?" asked Adonis.

"With my magic." Ena replied.

With the chi that flows in the air, she can use detection to see if there is anyone's mana was disturbed. That was way faster than pouring her chi into them individually, but it was different for Marie since she's always been interested in Marie's waist. Her waist would be seem so skinny that it looked unreal, but now that she felt it.

Ena could safely say that Marie had a waist, it was fit, and it was real. But she'd never tell Marie that, it would be way too embarrassing.

"Okay...now that everyone's been checked, we can now fully trust each other. We're now going to discuss the plan-" Before Ellie could finish her sentence, the floor shook for a bit.

*RUMBLE* *RUMBLE*

"What was that?" asked Ivy.

"I'm not sure, if anything, that must be their plan starting." said Ena.

"Huh? Isn't their plan supposed to start in a day from now?" asked Ellie.

"It is, but who knows? They might've started it earlier, did you forget what I told you? My sister was manipulated earlier, it wouldn't be surprising if they actually started the plan." said Ena.

"Oh really?" asked Ellie.

"Yea-"

"I don''t think their plan is starting yet, I just checked." said Kiri coming in from the door.

"Hmm? What do you mean you just checked?" asked Ena.

"They haven't told you? Our base is located near the town square, a bit further, and underground." said Kiri.

"Is it located under the big church?" asked Ena.

"Yep, we're basically right below it." said Kiri..

Ena glared at Ellie and gave a questioning look.

"I didn't think there was a need to tell you..." Ellie said as she looked away.

"Well, thank you for your consideration Ellie." said Ena as she turned over to Kiri, "What's the situation?"

"The mutants are starting to move, I think they're going somewhere." said Kiri.

"Let's go take a look, who's coming?" asked Ena.

"Edward, Ena, and I will go, everyone else will stay here." said Ellie.

"Why do we have to stay?' asked Ivy.

"Then do you want to take a look? We're only going to take a peek then come back and make a report on the situation. Plus, we're not spying on them just yet." said Ellie.

"Tsk, fine. You three can go, we'll stay here." said Ivy.

"Why're you making decisions for us?" asked Adnois.

"Who's the leader here?" asked Ellie.

Adonis didn't say anything, Ellie mentally clapped at herself at her victory.

"Now then, let's go. We don't want to waste any more time." said Ena.

Kiri led the way as the three followed him through the endless tunnel. Ena wished she was knocked out, this much walking wasn't for her, she preferred to wake up, and already be there. But this time, it was not the case. She had to actually walk, though she didn't regret it. The tunnel looked very well designed with smooth stone as the walls, there were even several indescribable paintings on hung on the wall.

After a while of walking, Kiri finally came to a stop, "From here on, we're now where the mutants are, under town square."

The three instantly prepared themselves as they peeked from the door, they stealthily made their way through the hallway, and entered the place where the mutants were. Peeking from the door, what they saw was horrendous.

The mutants were huge, nearly seven foot tall, with halos above their heads, and muscular limbs. They looked intimidating and scary, if Ena didn't have her chi, she'd definitely back out. Moreover, she's had experience fighting them. They were strong, they might've gotten stronger, but Ena herself also has gotten stronger.

But that wasn't just it, an army of mutants lined up in a four by three formation, they looked as if they had intellect. There were sounds of inexplicable sounds coming from them, it was like they developed their own language too.

"Just what is this..." muttered Ellie.

Ena wanted to ask that too and she definitely didn't want an answer. The fact that these mutants were once the children of a family made everything worse. She pitied them, if she could save them, she really would.

But not everything in life worked that way, there will always be times where there wasn't anything she could do. Though there was something else she could do, she could prevent anything like this to never happen again.

Ena would surely make the culprits pay back for what they have done, even if it was her father, even if it was her brother.

Two lives didn't amount to a hundred.

"We have to go now, someone's coming." said Kiri.

"You can tell?" asked Ellie.

"Yep, there seems to be ice somewhere in the ground, I can use it to detect if there is any humans coming." said Kiri.

"Who is it?" asked Edward.

"We'll find out now." said Kiri.

The footsteps were louder and louder, when the person came into view.

Ena was shocked, yet she wasn't surprised.

"Unbelievable..."
