Chapter 2

The cafeteria was crammed with students and the scent of various dishes. Diana was quietly sitting with her legs crossed on the table and her back on the wall as she flipped through the pages of a black book.

"Hey, sexy!" A handsome-looking boy shouted from athwart the room. He had other Attractive guys behind him that were looking in Diana's direction.

"Zack!"

He approaches her, "How is my girl doing?" He questions, staring lustfully at her exposed legs and tight tummy.

She puts the book away and laughs, hitting his cheekbones playfully. "Because I have fun with you doesn't fucking mean I'm yours."

He smirks. ''Yeah, but I wish you were mine."

Diana laughs. "Get lost playboy...I'm better in the game."

Now it was his turn to laugh. "Can I at least get a kiss? It would totally brighten up my day."

Diana stared at his pink lips longingly, then her eyes darts to the side. She leans in to whisper into his ears. "No, cuz that girlfriend of yours looks like she wants me dead."

"Shit!" His eyes jam with that of his girlfriend.

"Looks like you weren't careful enough," Diana smirks.

"Bro, your girlfriend's gonna pop if you don't move away from Diana and put down that erected dick of yours!" One of his friends said, quite amused.

"Go'n rot in hell and get back, you motherfucker." Zack said, standing already.

Diana was laughing. "Ha!"

"See you later, babe." He mouthed to Diana.

Diana stared after him with a little smile on her lips. Her eyes slowly dart towards the end of the room opposite zack. She knew it, and she was right. A blue pair of blue, lined, cat eyes with long fake lashes, stared back at her with so much hatred and disgust.

A tanned and muscular arm went around the blond girl's waist from behind; pulling her towards him. She pushes the hand away and tries to break out, but his hands stayed put, not tolerating any movement. The girl stared on, not looking away.

Diana gave a little smile, wriggled her fingers, and mouthed, "Hi."

The girl sends an irritated look and finally looks away.

Diana sighs and watches as they all leave the cafeteria. She picks up a pink sweet wrapper from the floor, folds, and clenches it.

Diana places the pink pillow in her hands, behind her. She rests on it and slowly closes her eyes.

Hidden under a bushel of leaves, twigs, and branches, but underwater; a little girl swims forward, quite surprised. Her angelic face showed worry, she couldn't hold her breath any longer.

Quickly, she swims as fast as she could to the surface of the water. The abrupt and quick upthrust causes a loud splash as ripples emerge.

An unexpected meretricious roar causes her to gyrate quickly, and into the water she went, as her furious enemy flew past, missing its prey.

"Are you kidding me!? Sleeping in this noisy cafeteria??" Exclaimed a girl, with a broad grin and laughing eyes.

"I wasn't-...well, duh." Diana smiled.

"Good girl, I see that you wanted to defend yourself." The girl packed her red hair up in a ponytail and adjusts her jeans.

Diana smiled, "Well, I'm glad you're back! I'm hungry. Where were you?? Held up with a project??"

"Nope! I was with Evan." She beamed. "We finally settled! We even kissed...for so long!" she hollered.

"Hey, keep your voice down...Good to hear about the kiss!.. Be careful though."

"...Why? Why did you say that?... Ugh, Evan would never break my heart, he is such a good boy."

"If you say so!"

"What's that supposed to mean, Diana? Is there something I don't know?" Her eyebrows creased.

"Why the sudden fear?" Diana asked, stretching her legs and leaning back fully.

"I'm not scared. Just curious."

"Okay...Can we go and eat now. I am hungry and our time is going." Diana pouts.

"Of course! Lunch's on you, by the way, I'm out of cash."

"No probs."

...

After the last bell was rung, Diana made her way out of the school. she spots Karissa and her boyfriend and decides to walk up to them.

"Let me guess, evening date at lavender latter. Please tell me I am wrong...But unfortunately for me, I am correct. See ya." Diana walks away.

"Hey, Diana. Please don't behave like that!!" Karissa pleads playfully.

She jogs to Diana." We just reunited, aren't you happy for us? You and I ate lunch together... Please, after I get back we could have a sleepover at my place...Tomorrow."

"It's okay. I will try my best to be happy for the both of you, enjoy your everyday date."

"Seriously??" Karissa laughed.

"You know I am joking! Of course, I am happy for you...Just don't forget me too often." Diana pouts.

"You know I can't!" Prissy hugs and then gives Diana a kiss on the cheek.

"I am not going to be around this night, so don't look for me at my house."

"Where are you going?" Prissy Questioned.

"I want to see my aunt."

"It can"t wait till the weekend?"

"No. she's sick and I have to take care of her. What can be more urgent than that?"

"Ooh! I am so sorry...Should I come?" Prissy questions in a small voice.

Diana lets out a dry laugh. "Your eyes say otherwise. It's is totally okay, I understand."

"Okay...send my regards. A lowlife young girl in your school cares."

"Shut up. You are not lowlife." Diana snaps.

"Awn! Thanks-"

"Babe, we gotta get going. If I allow you, you could sleep there."

Karissa, laughing and snorting uncontrollably, waves at Diana and turns to her waiting boyfriend.

Stunned, Diana turns too; wondering what was funny about what he said.

"I'll pray for you and your aunt. May God be with you, Diana!" Karissa shouted as her boyfriend dragged her. They were both laughing And Having fun as they strolled towards his car.

Diana had stopped in her tracks. "God!?" She turns her back, but they were already in the car. She watched as they drove out of the parking lot.

A shrill came over her shoulders, and she shook.
