First Things First

(A/N: ['____' Misaki said.] <== This means Misaki is talking to the system in her mind (telepathy). ['____' Misaki thought.] <== This is Misaki thinking to herself. The difference is "said" and "thought".)

10 days before the exam.

In a train heading towards somewhere in Musutafu.

'Are you sure we're heading to the right direction?' Misaki ask the system.

'Yeah, but... are you sure you're gonna go there?' The system asked.

'... Yeah... I argued with them before cause I didn't give up on them but now I do. So First thing first, I'm gonna do is go there, apologise and ask them permission to enter U.A. also see if they allow me to stay in "my home" and keep my part-time job till I get my Hero License.' Misaki answered.

'You knew you have a part-time job in this world?' The system asked.

'... Don't pretend to be surprised, in our last conversation, you said something like "Didn't you hate your family?" and "You argued with your family and decided to leave, sounds familiar?" meaning you knew about my relationship with my family and probably other things about my past, however in my previous life I have a permanent job but since I'm still a middle schooler I can only have a part-time job.' Misaki explained.

'... You and Midoriya is similar when it comes to analyzing people...' The system said.

'No, we're not. Izuku analyze Heroes because of his interest in them. I analyze people to...' Misaki paused for a second. '... At first, I analyze people to keep myself safe but then it became a habit...' Misaki said.

"Arriving at XXXX" Said the announcer.

'That's my stop.' Misaki thought. She stand up and walk to the door to get out.

Once Misaki get out of the train she ask the system "Where is it?"

"Follow me." The system answered.

About 15 minutes later, in front of a house.

Misaki sighed softly before ringing the doorbell. Few seconds later a lady opens the door, the lady seems a little surprise by Misaki's appearance.

'She must be my mom...' Misaki thought.

Reluctantly Misaki said "Mom, I'm sor-"

"Misaki! Why didn't you tell me you're coming back!" Her mom said with a warm smile. "Come in, let's have lunch together!"

"..." Misaki got confused from her mom's behavior. 'Wait. Wait. Wait. What?! System, I thought-'

'You thought that this family is similar to the one you had?' The system continued Misaki's words. 'Sorry but I lied. Your family in this world is different from what you had before.'

'... I've never heard of a system that lied to their host...' Misaki said to the system.

"Misaki! What are you doing? Come in already!" The lady yelled.

"A-Ah! Y-Yes, I'm coming!" Misaki answered.

'You better explain later!' Misaki said to the system.

At lunch Misaki met her father, her little brother and her little sister. It's easy to know who's who since there's only one different gender twins and two parents. Misaki tried her best to follow the family's conversation and thankfully nobody realize her lack of understanding.

Night, Misaki's mother, Hamamura Etsuko insisted on Misaki staying overnight so Misaki get ready to sleep and went inside her room.

"Explain." Misaki whispered to the system.

"I'm sorry that I lied but knowing your past and a little about your personality, you probably wouldn't believe me if I said your family in this world is different since you "give up" on pretty much EVERYTHING so I thought I had to lie to bring you here..." The system explained.

"..." Misaki sighed and said "... Well... I had to admit that I... am a tiny bit scared to accept the fact that they are different unless I actually see them with my own eyes..." Misaki said.

"See. Even you admit that." The system said.

Again Misaki sighed and said "Yes. Yes. You did the right thing... Oh, wait. Does that mean my "past" in this world is different?"

"... Actually, except for the family part, I only know about your school life in your original past and that part is the same as your past in this life though the timeline is a little different." The system explained.

"Wait. What do you mean by timeline difference?" Misaki asked.

"The only important thing that I think you need to know is the time the rumors happened." The system said.

*Gulp* Hearing the "rumors" part, Misaki felt a sudden uneasiness inside of her.

"Originally, the first rumor happened when you're in middle school and the second rumor happened in high school but since you didn't go to high school yet, both rumors started in middle school in this world." The system said.

Misaki felt nervous and uncomfortable, those two specific rumors "destroyed" her school life TWICE and change the innocent and naive little girl to be someone who barely believe anyone.

"... Hey, don't worry. I'm pretty sure I'm assign as your system to make sure your life went well so don't worry too much. I'll always be your ally." The system said.

"..." Misaki slightly smiled and said "... Okay... Thanks, system..."

"Your welcome." The system said.

"... Hey... Can I ask for a favor?" Misaki asked.

"What favor?" The system asked.

"Can you bring me back to my previous world for a couple of minutes?" Misaki asked.

"... Why would you want to go back there?" The system asked.

"I... I want to completely break free from my past family." Misaki answered.

"I don't really understand what you said but if that's what you want then I'll bring you back but only for a couple of minutes." The system said.

Again, Misaki slightly smiled and said "Thank you."

"First, I'll need to change what happened a bit since you literally died so I definitely can't just turn you into a zombie especially when you want to talk to your family." The system said.

Misaki only chuckled at the system's words.
