CHAPTER FOUR

Taking cover behind a pillar in the underground tunnel, Remi tied a black piece of cloth around his face, as bullets moved all around. He sighed and stepped out into the open, the bullets bouncing off as they made contact with his body, distance away from him were men dressed in black suit, firing furiously at him.

"Argh, I hate it when they continue shooting, even after seeing its useless, clothes are costly these days" he said as the bullet bore holes into his clothes.

Remi dashed forward, in an instant he already covered the distance, grabbing the gun man closest to him, he threw him off, grabbed his gun in midair and took aim with the gun.

"Killing you doesn't matter know, you've all been possessed, I don't know why, but you shouldn't roam this world any longer" he said as he opened fire on them.

He threw off the gun and dashed forward, he leaped into the air and smashed his hand into the ground, creating a quake on the ground. His hands bore deep hole into the ground, which threw most of the gun men off balance, he leaped back away from the hole he made on the ground, while huge stones flew into the air, he smashed his palms together, sending a shock wave that sent all the stones flying forward with great speed, and smashing hard against the gun men on after another, some hitting two or more gun men before they finally fell to the ground.

"That takes care of it, but what is the main source of this devilish power?" Remi thought within himself and looked up. "Something is coming really fast" he said, smiled with the corner of his lips and disappeared.

Jonathan walked through the destroyed underground hallway, bullets laying lavishly on the ground, cracked walls and a hole to the ground.

"Tsk, seems someone took care of business for me" he said and spread out his wings. "But who could it be, someone capable of sensing such evil aura, aura from other realms, is there someone else like me" Jonathan thought within himself "Whatever, there are two more place to clean up and perhaps get a hold of the rhymes and return it to whatever hell it came out from" Jonathan thought and flew off at great speed.

Remi came to a running landing on a twenty storey building, standing at the rooftop, he squinted his eyes as he peered deep into the distance, few miles away from his location. He clichéd tight his fist as he sensed another evil aura from the opposite direction.

"It is spreading really fast, whatever this is, they are really killing themselves for it, from the way it spreads, whatever that power is, it seems to affect those who within reach, it would make sense if the ordinary guards of a mafia group all have demonic symptoms in them, which means the power deposit is much in whoever holds the book" Remi said out loudly to himself

"You have a good guess, but your theory isn't really correct" a voice said behind him.

Remi turned around and saw Jonathan elevated in the air, his wings gently moving up and down, sustain his position.

"Who are you?" Jonathan asked and made a fist.

"It would be silly to make unnecessary mess right now" Remi said and pulled off the black piece of cloth around his face.

Jonathan squeezed his face unpleasantly as he saw Remi, remembering where he had met him

"You?" Jonathan said and landed before him, on the roof top.

"You seem to have a wide knowledge about the strange power on loss, care to fill me in?" Remi asked and made a straight face.

"Tsk, you took care of a bunch of them doesn't mean I trust you or you are strong enough" Jonathan replied and flapped his wings

"I wouldn't bet on that, I have lived much more longer than you, hopefully you've heard of Human gods" Remi said and turned around, backing Jonathan.

Jonathan scoffed and suddenly dashed at Remi, a bright light suddenly filled the space between Jonathan and Remi, within few seconds, the light dispersed, revealing Remi holding Jonathan firm by the throat.

"Satisfied your curiosity?" Remi asked and let go off Jonathan.

"I had to confirm, I cant explain all to you, so, hold still while I shoot all the memories into you" Jonathan replied and stretched his right hand forward and pointed his middle finger forward at Remi's forehead.

A green light suddenly shot out of Jonathan's hand directly at Remi's head.

"Argh, so that's it" Remi said, as the memories filled him. "So I was right still, if the rhymes is deciphered then its game over, that person will share about forty percent of Lucifer's power which is enough to ruin this world at the very least" he said and smiled at Jonathan.

"And we cant let that happen, we need to take out those who are influenced by the book, and those who have touched it one way or the other, but the main issue is locating the book" Jonathan said and paused and continued "The mafia group already know about this book, and I assume everyone in the underworld knows this also, and are trying very hard to lay their hands on it and decipher the rhymes, which makes sense why they have to kill themselves to get it, regardless of the friendship they have built among themselves, the book keeps moving from one person to another which makes it harder to track down" Jonathan said and concluded.

Remi kept mute for a while, they had no time to waste and every passing minutes meant danger, although the situation was not yet really clear, but one thing was certain, people would do anything for power.

"The police girl, she could be of help" Remi said and opened his mouth wide.

Jonathan's aura suddenly spiked up and next was a smash he sent right at Remi's face. The impact sent a loud boom into the air. Remi twitched as the blow moved his head backward a bit, with a gritted teeth, he puffed into the air.

"You were keeping tabs on me" Jonathan asked as he pumped more powers into his fist, ready to send another blow.

"Tch, that was one hell of a punch, you didn't hold back at all" he said and looked at Jonathan who was brimming with anger "I'm sorry" Remi said and took a step backward.
