After school hours still, Evans High.
Tyler is getting ready to go home, basketball practices just ended. Anderson as well is about leaving school, he stayed back for personal violin practices with the saint.
"Anderson!... Anderson!!" Adrian runs towards him, trying to draw his attention.
ANDERSON: Adrian, why you still in school?
ADRIAN: I should be asking you that. I've been in the student's Admin's office. He wanted to have a word with all the class representatives.
ANDERSON: Okay. So... what's up?
ADRIAN: I've been wanting to talk to you but I've not had the time. Follow me. (Dragging Anderson by his left arm, heading towards the stairs leading to the ground floor)
ANDERSON: Whatchu wanna talk 'bout?
ADRIAN: Remember last Friday
ANDERSON: What 'bout it?
ADRIAN: Last period of Friday, when you created a little scene in Mr Audrey's class.
ANDERSON: Oh yeah. Was looking at some pictures. Forget it, man. It's a settled case.
ADRIAN: Sure?
ANDERSON: Sure. Why you asking?
ADRIAN: Come with me.
Right now, Adrian and Anderson are outside, hiding behind a car parked a few yards away from the school's main entrance.
ANDERSON: Dude, why we snooping around? Whatchu wanna show me?
ADRIAN: While coming from the office of the Math departmental head in the morning of that same Friday, I saw a dude walking towards our class, no one was in there yet, he looked suspicious so I decided to tail him. Just about entering the class, he tripped and almost fell, making him drop the textbook he was holding, and then a brown envelope slipped out.
ANDERSON: Did you say brown envelope?
ADRIAN: Caught your attention, right? When he left the class, I entered and saw the textbook on your table, I looked at it and saw that it was yours, I opened it and found the envelope, I wanted to know what was inside but it was sealed so I kept it back in the textbook, didn't wanna be too nosy. Same Friday during Mr Audrey's class I kept watching you...
ANDERSON: You were?
ADRIAN: You took out the envelope from the textbook, opened it and shouted...
ANDERSON: I didn't shout.
ADRIAN: Well, you weren't exactly quiet, and you managed to interrupt the class and get everyone's attention.
ANDERSON: Maybe I did raise my voice a little.
ADRIAN: I couldn't see what you were looking at but I understood the whole situation. Long story short, I brought you here to see the guy who's behind this.
ANDERSON: From all what you've been saying, you're trying to tell me that he's the guy who's been trying to cause havoc between Bonnie and I?
ADRIAN: Look, there he is. (Pointing to Tyler who's leaving through the main entrance with his teammates)
ANDERSON: Sure that's him?
ADRIAN: That's him.
ANDERSON: I'm gonna disfigure his face. (Tightening his fists, attempting to run to meet Tyler)
ADRIAN: Man! What are you trying to do? Fight him? In front of his teammates? Wow, you're such a dumb ass. One thing you should never forget about jocks is that they always protect their own. If you attack him in front of them, they'll beat the crap out of you.
Anderson reconsiders the consequences and restrains himself. Adrian eventually calms him down and they leave the school together afterwards.
Evening hours, the Holmes' place.
Tyler, as usual, is feeding his sister with a bunch of b-ball talk that she's never ever interested in, but today she seems to be listening to him without even complaining once. He observes her countenance.
TYLER: You've been all smiles since you got back from school. What's up?
BONNIE: You won't believe what happened this morning.
TYLER: Try me.
BONNIE: Anderson and I kissed. (Blushing)
TYLER: Whoa, look how red you are already.
BONNIE: Shut up!
TYLER: So who's Ander...? Hold on a sec... (He pauses like he's been struck) Anderson? Anderson did what? Anderson who? Which of the Andersons?
BONNIE: Why all these silly questions? How many Andersons do you know in Evans High?
TYLER: I know just one.
BONNIE: Describe.
TYLER: He's black, tall, senior year...
BONNIE: Yeah, that Anderson.
Tyler freezes, blinking rapidly, trying to process the information he's hearing.
BONNIE: Oh, my bad. I haven't told you about him yet. Well, remember I said I'd tell you about him when we start going out? The day you poured egg sauce on my head, you jerk! (She reaches for one pair of her shoes and throws it at him, he ducks and it hits the light switch on the wall)
TYLER: Hold on, hold on... Are you saying that you two are together now?
BONNIE: We kinda have a thing going on.
TYLER: Fuck! Damn it!
BONNIE: What?
TYLER: How could I be so stupid? I could have made my findings first before getting myself into this shit. (Angry with himself, holding his head)
BONNIE: What are you talking about?
TYLER: Bonnie, pl—please forgive me. You have to forgive me.
BONNIE: What's going on? Forgive you for what?
TYLER: There's som-something you need to know, Bonnie. (He says softly, sitting on her bed and holding his sister's hands)
