Road to legend

It has been three and a half years since I came to the new world now and not much has happened besides the fact that I can stand and walk on two feet without help. I was happy but the best part about being this age is the fact that I can finally start training and communicate with my father... Well not fluently but it was better than nothing.

My father has been a great help in helping me walk last year but this year I can finally do some things on my own. The rest of my plans are going to have to wait until my body is back to normal.

I asked my father if there was any way for me to get some bells like in the stories he once read to me at night. He agreed, although he did ask why I needed them. I just told him that whenever I heard a high pitched noise that I can see. He in turn agreed, and a few days after that conversation he got me some decent sized bells that imitate something close to glass shattering.

It certainly wasn't as good as actually smashing glass wherever I went but at least I could still see the white lines though it was dimmed down quite a lot.

But today was the day. After getting the yes from my father after months of getting aware of my surroundings in the house and seeing how well the bells are doing for me, he let me go outside.

I cannot describe how it felt to finally be free and get back into the word! Now it is time for me to focus on training. I have to push myself hard and do as much as I can to get as strong as I cans at every age.

Now then let me see… hmm.. ah here we go! A perfectly fine tree for me to get started with and it looks like there is more around. It looks like I have been living in a forest with my father for the time being. until I grow up enough to leave and venture out on my own.

As I walk up to the tree I start to rub my hands across it, trying to take off anything sharp that is sticking out of the sides and maybe loose pieces of wood that will fall off so I won't have to hurt myself as much.

After doing so and making sure everything is alright I begin. Hitting the tree with my fists first, then moving to my arms and then my shoulders. Doing sets of each for as long as I could until I decided to go down and do my legs, hips, and feet.

Of course everything hurt but that was just the process of getting stronger. Doing this may hurt now but will help me out in the long run. This type of training will help numb out some of the pain over time which means I will be able to go longer without stopping.

I continue to do this training for hours until I heard my father call me back inside to eat and get ready to sleep.

It seems like my training is done for today. Next time I will focus on getting my flexibility back and learning my fighting stances all over again.

As I came inside, my father sits me down at the table and helps me with my food, but only after quickly taking a look at my bruised and battered body which has some dried and or splattered blood on it. He helps me take a bath and bandages me up. Talking with me a little bit at a slow pace, he starts to ask questions.

Father said,"Hey Jachi… you do know I saw you out there right? I saw you training and from what I could see you were doing well. I guess I should have checked up on you more closely rather than assuming that."

"I didn't know, but I knew you would look out at me to make sure I didn't get lost. I just want to train like those guys in the story. I want to be like those king-fu masters," I said in a cute little voice, trying to look innocent.

Kung-fu is what they called it here. A martial art that comes with a balance of ki and weapons or ki and flesh. Being one with yourself and the world and all that. At Least it wasn't back where I came from where everything had to have the word dragon or god or heavenly inside of the name. Forgetting what things were named was easy and remembering was hard but it seems like I won't have much trouble so far with anything like that.

But back to Kung-fu. Every species has their own distinct fighting style, and depending on that fighting style it can be merged or changed into something else but it depends on what your strengths are.

For someone who is small but strong maybe you would go for something that required you to be more agile and yet deliver a strong offense or defense. Along with that a person can create their own style that is outside what was supposed to be the normal every day style.

It was told to me through another story which told how a Bear once took on an army by himself. Despite his big size and muscles he was very agile and flexible, doing amazing things during the battle.

But the most notable thing being the wave of Ki he unleashed upon his enemies wiped them out in droves. The Ki he shot out was in a beam fashion, it was like a ray of energy that he used to pierce the hearts of his enemies.

My previous world didnt have this at all. We fought with was our swords, blades, and anything else we could use to kill our enemies but all of it depended on strength and speed, nothing to do with this thing called Ki.

I would be ignorant if I said I wasnt interested in mastering it.

That being said, when I get the chance I shall start learning about Ki some more. But back to the now.

"Yes i understand but those men and women trained for years to get where they are. I dont want to see you get hurt and I want to protect you. But maybe I can set you on the right path but only if I can guarantee your safety while pushing you to your limits." He said.

As I jingled the bells I saw that he had a concerned yet serious face as he looked at me.

"Yes father, don't worry I will be alright. As long as you are by my side I'm sure I will be safe. I hope to learn a lot from you as well." I had said and jingled the bells in time to see my father nodding slightly before he continued to feed me. And after that was done, he brought me to my bed and started to put me under the covers.

"Son, I will think about it. You are not even five but things can be arranged. It is better than you going out to hurt yourself." My father said, finally putting me under the covers and I can hear his footsteps moving towards the door.

"Goodnight" He quietly said before closing the door and leaving me to sleep in my bed alone for the night, wondering what will happen if he accepts me. What type of training will I go through? Would he be harsh or kind. Does he even know what is best for me? After all I'm going to leave here right after I get prepared and my training is finished regardless of what happens. By then I can journey out and hopefully I can fully look at what the world has to offer.

And even more so, to study the Ki in the world that may also be in my body. But that is for later, now is time for rest.

And just like that the day went by, and so did many more, but that all came to an end after a year and a half went by and I was five years old.
