Pleasant Day and Pleasant Dreams

[Third Person POV]

It was a hot summer day. The sun blaring down heat upon every and anybody. But inside of a particular forest, sounds of flesh hitting wood echoed throughout the forest in a somewhat regular tempo. The distant yells could also be heard from two different voices.

If you were to get deeper within the forest you could see a Sable and Hyena. Both their arms moving and hitting a dummy with smooth wooden sticks protruding out of its thick wooden base. The Sable was hitting the wooden dummy and the hyena followed suit.

The two were practicing wing-chun which was both a fighting style but also a form of self defence. Both require very quick arm movements and strong legs to defeat enemies. This type of style also helped numbing your arms and legs which can help when on the defensive end of a fight. The training speed started out slow but picked up pace throughout the months of constant, every day, practice.

The Sable would hit the dummy ten times while the Hyena did the same. Constant strikes went back and forth between the two with the Hyena following the Sable's movements exactly. This went on daily with the both of them alternating between hands and legs so that neither the arms or legs would overpower the other in strength. It should be noted though that the training helped more than it should have with multiple dummies being destroyed in the process of the training. This shocked the Sable without a doubt, the strength of such a young cub being able to destroy something so solid already.

But they continued on training the same exact way, if not for the strength then it would be to control his strength and to land quicker strikes. The Hyena wasn't happy about withholding his strength but was pleased to hear the reasoning so he had accepted.

And all of this lasted from dawn to midday which afterwards would be dedicated to the Sable helping the Hyena with his sight and senses. These two things were the most needed and is what has been helping the Hyena a lot so far. This type of training required the Hyena to go on thick balancing poles and jump to a new pole every time until he had gotten to the end. The poles got smaller and smaller as you got closer to the end and they were more spaced out than before which required some level of athleticism and stability in order to do successfully. Right now the Hyena would constantly hop and jump to pole after pole in order to try and make it to the end which he actually managed to do successfully multiple times even without the bells.

This was another shocking revelation. The Sable was surprised at the feats the Hyena was achieving, especially in such a short amount of time. He wonders where his strength and accuracy comes from, especially his stability, which should have been one of the hardest things to be good at while not being able to see. The Sable made sure he couldn't see by taking away his bells but even then he finished the jumps three times in a row without a problem. In great form as well!

Once a few more hours passed and the sun began to set, the both of them would start working on their flexibility and agility. The training would be to run from the training yard where they were at, all the way back home which was quite the run. It took a long time to walk there, let alone come back, so even with the both of them running back, it would still take an hour or two to make it.

Yet to no surprise the Hyena was able to keep up with the Sable, the both of them running close to their tops speeds by now as the Hyena's stamina and agility was close to the Sable's and will most likely soon be beyond it.

But the two continued to run until they managed to get home to their home which was lit up with candles on the outside a bit to lighten up the place in the dark.

The two of them get inside and the Sable helps the Hyena to get into his bed after they both eat the warm food that has been made and set on the table.

Once the Sable finally gets the Hyena into the bed he tells him more stories about the world beyond the forest that they are in before he leaves the room, leaving the Hyena alone in bed to think about how everything is going so far in this life.

[First Person POV]

Well another day of training is over and I have been feeling the effects of my hard work for a while now. It is no longer a shock at my massive growth since this new body of mine seems to adapt very well to any and every situation.

It doesn't matter what I did I just was good at it with minimal training required which can only make me wonder how well i would do if i never trained to begin with…. Yeah, let's not think about that for now.

My strength has gotten to this point much sooner than I had expected. Maybe I should ask father to try and up my training a bit more since doing this constantly may slow down my training.

Speaking of my father. Nobody has ever treated me the same way he has. At Least not out of pure care. People who did so in my previously life did it to either suck up to me or to try and gain my protection.

All i had before was just my strength, my armor, my weapons and that was it. Having a home and good food was never something i had. And now that I'm gaining my strength back I can't say I lost much.

I mean the armor and weapons are replaceable, especially since I just took them from dead bodies and made them better over time so that isn't anything I hold dear to my heart. I never had any place to return to or any place i wanted to go to either…. I guess my strength and the suffering of others is what made me the happiest so I truly can't say I lost everything.

Thinking back to when I actually got my first kill, I was pretty happy with it wasnt I? There wasn't any disgust or… Shock or… Unease. It was just pure happiness.

I think at that time my first kill was at a stables wasn't it. It was a stables owner that I killed. I was around the age I am now, four years older maybe.

Back then everybody hated me. They hurt and tortured me repeatedly without fail. Trying to make me live the worst life possible and would eliminate any chance I have to get into a better position.

Was it because of how I looked? Dressed? Talked? Who knew but what was evident was that they all hated me to my core, that was undeniable.

But when I went to the stables I saw a few good horses there. Very good race horses that could sell for quite a lot of money regardless of who you sold it to.

The stable owner, a Golden Retriever, was outside and counting some money while he leaned against the stable. Luckily stables back then had three ways of entry, two on the side and one large door in the front which was the most common type you would see. This was how I got in undetected for the most part. And as i found the horse i wanted to take after looking around for a bit i felt two big paws grab me from behind and pull me down. It was the Golden Retriever from outside.

I coughed and wheezed as the man kicked and stomped on me. Breaking one or two bones in the process from the cracking noises I heard.

I tried to shield myself but nothing was working that well. At that point I decided to try my luck and run, and it ended up succeeding. I Timed how long it took to kick and stomp on me from looking at his feet and legs with one opened eye, making my escape as he raised his foot for a stomp that was going to come down onto my head.

While I ran away I ran to his home, jumping through the glass once I made it onto the balcony and rushing to find something to defend myself with.

I couldn't find anything as quickly as I wanted to but I did find a metal fork and spoon that had a bit of rust on it in the kitchen before I ran and hid in a closet just in time to hear the door slam open.

The sound of heavy stomping echoing throughout the house along with the loud voice of the man telling me to come out. I didn't listen though, I just waited and waited until he got close enough to the closet.

I don't know how much time passed while I waited in there, watching and listening. But as soon as I heard the stomping of boots start to pass by the closet, I jumped out and stabbed his foot with the fork.

I heard a yelp and quickly went and stabbed the other as I watched the man fall on his butt.

I quickly went on top of him and began stabbing over and over again, using the spoon to dig into his softer pieces of flesh around the throat and digging out his eyes.

I heard his screaming. His verbal berating and cries for help. Yet I just kept going.

Stabbing him again… and again… and again… And again…

By the time I came to, his blood was all across the floor and on my body. My rags dirtied and my face had splashes of blood on it that have yet to dry.

I was panting while looking down at the body of the Golden Retriever but i didn't feel any remorse. I have seen people cry at funerals before. I Have seen those who feel guilty about their past actions yet i never felt any of that.

I covered my mouth, not because I was going to puke, nor did I feel the need to vomit at all. But I did it to hide the big smile on my face.

I started to chuckle and giggle at the dead body before me, the scene itself would have disturbed many people but no not me. I Found it amusing, hilarious actually.

I killed a man and felt happy. For the first time in my life, I felt pure happiness.

I Sprung to my feet, filled with energy, taking one last look at the body before going out the front door which is where I was met with another scene. A carriage that had just ridden into the stables. While I walked closer and closer to the stables I heard the voices of a woman and two young girls. I felt my smile become wider and uncontrollable giggling ensued.

My grip on my fork got tighter and tighter before i couldnt take it any more and ran inside. The rest of the day was a haze but even with me not remembering what happened. I can still fondly remember the screams and cries of the girls.

And even over their high pitched voices, I vividly hear the laughter of myself. Enjoying the torment that the three were experiencing.

At that point I had jolted awake with wide eyes.

I felt my surroundings and found that I was still in my room. And with a sigh I lay back down onto my bed.

"It was just a dream" I said to myself, closing my eyes to fall back asleep.

"One of the best I've ever had~" I chuckled. Falling asleep yet again but this time with a smile on my face.
