"Michael you better be out of that bed!" His mom's voice could be heard coming up the squeaky stairs.
He groaned lazily rolling onto his back. The sunlight glared at him through the window crease. His room was a mess from the last time he got angry and trashed it. His clothes were scattered all over the floor.
"This room us a mess." His mom came bursting through the door.
"Get out!" He barked. He didn't want to but he was just so angry. His dark side was on edge waiting to be released.
"Michael?" His mom said more like a question.
"What."
She felt heart broken to see her son in this state. "What's going on?"
"Are you blind. Can't you see clearly what's going on. Am a monster!"
"Don't say that. You are my son and I know you are better than this." She shook her head.
He taught now was the time to be honest with her. He needed to tell her what he had done two months ago. "Mom I do things. Really bad things and I don't have any memory of it."
She sat beside him on the bed. "What things?"
"I hurt people." Images of Greg and Candy popes into his line of vision. He didn't fully remember what had happened but he knew he was the murderer. There was enough evidence to prove to him.
"What do you mean."
"I kill innocent people." He was expecting his mom to get angry and snap at him. He was surprised when she pulled him into a hug.
"Am so sorry." She sniffles.
"What are you sorry about?" He was confused.
"There is something I should tell you."
"What are you hiding from me?"
"Its all my fault. If only I was there for you."
She continued when Michael said nothing. "It was about eighteen years ago when I met your dad. His brother had a thing for me he wanted me to marry him but I rejected him. And I married your dad."
"Just get to the point." Michael interjected.
"Do you wanna hear or not."
"okay okay!" He sighed.

"Why are you choosing my brother over me!" Frederick boomed angrily. "There's so much I can offer you that my brother can't." He continued.
"I love him." Victoria mumbled.
Frederick laughed rather loudly. "Love? My brother probably thinks of you as one of his whores. Here I am offering you so much. To be my wife."
"I don't want to be your wife."
"Don't you want your freedom again. Do you want to be stuck here."
"I have nothing to return home to. I have no family and no friends."
"What if I could offer you back your family and friends?"
"You could?"
"Yes." He smirked. "All you have to do is marry me and have my my heir."
Victoria wished she had another chance to see her family. Her Frederick was offering that opportunity. In return she had to marry him and have his child. Victoria didn't want that she wouldn't give up her child to live a miserable life like this. As much as shed like to see her family one last time there was no way she was going to give up her child.
"I would rather die here than give up my child." She protested through gritted teeth.
She received a struck across her cheek. Her head whipped to the side. Pain exploded throughout her body when she fell to the floor whimpering.
"Don't speak to me like that you whore!"
Tears trickled down her cheek that stung from where he hit her. Lucifer was cruel to her but he had never lifted his hands to struck her.
"You will give me that child and be my wife or else that child will suffer. I will curse that child."
More tears ran down Victoria's cheeks. She couldn't give up her one child to suffer and she couldn't sit and watch him get cursed.
"Please don't!" She cried but he ignored her. He left her in the darkness for her guilt to consume her.

"Where was dad at that time?"
"He was away. Am so sorry Michael. But I couldn't just sit and watch him take you away from me."
"Its okay mom." He surprised her by giving her a big hug.
"So I guess am cursed then."
"Yes. Your dad searched night and day for a cure but he was unsuccessful. What he found out was that you are a time ticking bomb." She started to cry again.
"What do you mean?"
"The darkness will consume you. But I know that you are strong enough to fight this." She smiled sadly before she stood up.
"Clean this room and come downstairs. Its been one week since you locked yourself in this room." She said before she left his room.
Michael admired himself in his bed room mirror. He almost couldn't recognize himself. He was no longer Michael but a monster. His mom might believe in him but he didn't believe he could fight the darkness. He still taught his mom was hiding something from him. But one way or another he was going to find out on his own.
Somehow whatever his mom had shared with him still didn't make any sense. He always taught his grandfather was the cause of all that was happening. But now he was told that it was his uncle.
Why would his uncle need him to be heir? Somehow none of this made any sense to Michael.
