So I sat there silently, I'd like to think I deserved it- it was the first time somebody told me, my parents were Atlanteans (yes they are real).
"I remember your parents", Oblin said, “As good as your father was, he was very mischievous". Oblin chuckled a bit, probably reliving old memories, "your mother was- kind, compassionate and what a duo they made together". "Your parent's Bracer-", he said fidgeting with the handle of the cup, "-were in a very secretive line of work.
So, over the next few hours, I went through an extraordinarily lengthy and tiring history session.
'We have a few cousin species', Oblin had said, 'the most prominent of them, the Dardians and Gargles'.

After Atlantis sank, apparently the unity between the inhabitants broke and each settled in different parts of the world, Atlanteans also had their own names of the oceans. Atlanteans settled in the islands of the Furio (Atlantic) and Kais (Indian Ocean). Dardians moved to the islands of Olivio (Arctic) and Zorg (Pacific) oceans. While the Gargles move to the Izo, or Southern Ocean, islands.
I should probably start noting stuff down Atlantis capital- Norade (pronunciation: No+Raid) Other major cities ZioBrey (pronunciation: Zio+Brey) v.v.imp city Nifaglar (pronunciation: Nee+fa+glur) Heurrion (pronunciation: He+ you+rion)
(Note: Each city is an independent island) Armados (pronunciation: Arm+ados): Big island, but not part of the Atlantean Union, under the control of dictatorship)
Goblins Forgotten species- only a few sightings since the sinking of Atlantis
Dardians Purplish skin tone, command a powerful army. Occults: A magical type of power possessed by Atlanteans and Dardians. Atlantis strength: Powerful Army, one cruiser enough to obliterate full aircraft carrier battle groups of Neomancers (aka. humans). Uncontrolled regions: Large parts of the Pacific Ocean and islands and waterways between Atlantean and Dardian borders. Full of pirates and independently controlled small and medium-sized pirate cities. Gargles: Mostly peaceful creatures, still using stones and sticks. Oblin gently held my hand, "Bracer, the notes are, finished".
"Oh, right"
Hatchet had picked this time to get himself some shuteye.
"I have something for you", Oblin said. He took support from his walking stick to stand up. I reviewed my notes-

He strolled up to an old shelf on the opposite side of the shack/room.
Stared at the rack for a moment and walked back with something in his hand, "your father sent me this".
"What is it?"
"A tape recorder", he explained, "I haven't heard it, I want you to- when you're ready".
"Thank you", I nodded putting the sleek blue object in my pocket, "I don't understand something".
"Yes?", Oblin groaned as he sat down on the chair.
"Why wait so long before getting me here?"
"Bracer, when your parents took you into hiding, they were very thorough", he paused for a moment, "whatever they did, has made you invisible to any type of tracking available to us".
"So how did you find me?"
"When your father vanished, nobody was there to reset the emergency timer, which your father had to reset every night- so the emergency mode got triggered giving me your location".
"Just you?"
"Just me", he nodded, "it was my decision to keep you away from Atlantis for as long as possible- but it that time has come to an end".
Why though?
"Why?", I voiced.
"The Phoenix's, have- for generations, been a very powerful family in Atlantis. Keeping you away, kept you safe from the enemies of Atlantis and I didn't want to change that, but as you grow, your aura becomes stronger-".
"You mean like the creature that attacked me, in the museum".
"-A Razellair", Oblin nodded, "you are the heir of the Phoenix family, now that you're back, rumours of your arrival have already begun spreading across all species".
Oh come on, all species?
Really?
I nodded at him, “So Oblin what do I do here?”
“Come”, he said smiling, “let me show you”.
