Chapter 12

After Alex fainted, the ferocious monster was still meeting him with an even more furious onslaught than the previous ones. All seemed lost for the black-haired young man severely wounded and almost completely without any energy to continue the fight. However, something surprised the monster and the overseers who were already on their way to the scene to rescue him.

On the spot where the great lake once stood, now only a huge crater is seen completely empty. And in the middle of it, standing on a long pillar of ice, was a fat, brown-haired young man with a small white aura being expelled from his body. His two arms were raised towards the sky and on them was a gigantic spear composed entirely of ice.

For the first time since this fight began, the pixei king seriously felt what the real fear of death was. Takeru was extremely angry and wanted with all his being to exterminate the animal in front of him, his murderous intent and rage could be felt even by the overseers who were near the forest.

The boy might not know Alex very well, but he knew that he was not a bad person who hurt the weakest or felt superior to others. Moreover, the black-haired boy had previously taken a great risk to save him in his moment of recklessness and for this he felt quite grateful to the boy. However, seeing the scene where Alex was all bloody and bruised on the ground, he felt anger at himself for being just a nuisance in the battle and for letting his savior get hurt like that without at least reciprocating, and along with this, his hatred for the monster that caused it all grew exponentially.

All the anger felt at that moment was deposited in a single attack intended only to extinguish that beast from the face of this planet.

"TATAKAEEEEEEEEEEEE" - Takeru.

The giant spear, crafted using all the water in the lake and the largest the boy had ever made in his life, flew at high speed towards the reborn sea monster. The weapon left with such speed and force that the beast could not react, much less defend itself with its scales, and in the blink of an eye the enraged beast and the ground around it had entirely vanished from the map with a single flash of the explosion caused by the impact.

The place where the spear fell was near where Alex was passed out, but before the shockwave could reach him, a special agent appeared in front of the fallen young man and in a matter of seconds put both hands on the ground and erected a thick steel wall to protect himself and the badly injured boy.

After a few seconds, the wave of destruction caused by the impact of the attack finally ceased, leaving the steel wall, erected by the agent, completely in tatters and barely able to resist. Fortunately, the damage was only inflicted to the barrier and the two behind it came out practically unscathed.

The area of the place and everything near it was altered. Some trees detached from the ground, the ground surrounding the collision zone was frozen, and the major damage caused by all this resulted in another giant crater where the spear met the monster.

'What a scary brat...' - Special Agent as he stared at the young Takeru with astonished eyes.

The young Asian, now trying his hardest to stand, had his anger reduced as he saw that he had successfully exterminated the beast. However he was surprised to see the destruction caused, and only gained calm when he noticed that he had not hit Alex or made his situation worse.

'I'm glad I made it in time...' - Takeru.

In the next instant, his legs gave out, his body lost its strength, and his consciousness faded due to the complete depletion of his naro energy.

In a certain location within Henry High School, a dimly lit room could be contemplated. Within it was a single armchair facing a huge screen. Sitting comfortably in the object was a violet-eyed woman watching the fight of Alex Walker and Takeru Satoru played on the huge screen.

"And to think that another young man would emerge as promising..." - Woman with a beautiful seductive voice.

"Yes, Milady Marta. The boy with powers from the shadows you recommended has enormous potential, but that ice boy...does he?" - Black-White in a different voice than before.

"I'm not sure yet, but he's a good bet..." - Marta.

"You should take off that mask of yours Eleonora, don't you feel hot?" - Marta.

The second later, the special agent, known as Black-White, took off her mask and revealed a well-groomed face of a woman in her 50s, her hair was golden and her eyes a bluish tint.

"I need to make sure no one sees my face Milady. But leaving that aside, was it really necessary to interfere with the examination that much? Once they find out, they will question her." - Eleonora / Agent Black-White.

"Yes, but I needed to be sure of something, no matter what! And in case they come to ask for satisfaction, just make a lame excuse." - Martha.

'Looks like you're finally ready, Al...' - Marta

In the south of the capital of the Kingdom of Britannia, a large and technologically advanced hospital can be seen. From a distance you could tell that this was the best medical facility present in the entire city of Halsen. Inside one of the rooms of this beautiful hospital, a black-haired boy was lying on a bed with several gases on his body covering his wounds and bruises.

Suddenly the boy opens his light green eyes and does not understand the situation he is in. However, when he stood up to look around, he got an idea of the course of events after his fainting spell.

'taking into account that I am probably still alive, so the plan went as I had imagined...' - Alex.

The young man may not be a good strategist, but he knows very well his limits and what he can and cannot cross. So from the moment he was fighting alone, the young man already had in mind that he would not come out of that place with only minor injuries. So it was not difficult to deduce the course of things from there.

Alex remained observing his private room for a while longer, until he noticed that there was a red button on the wall just above the headboard of his bed. To tell the truth, he almost never needed to go to a hospital since, due to his race, his healing factor is faster than that of normal humans.

After pressing the button, a few seconds passed without anything happening.

'I guess that's probably just decoration.' - Alex.

However, suddenly the sound of the door opening resonates through the young boy's ears and startles him. As he looks towards the source of the sound, he sees a beautiful blonde nurse looking in his direction with a clipboard in her hand. The girl started walking towards the teenager, and in her blue eyes a bit of concern could be seen.

"Mr.Alex Walker, right?" - Nurse asking to confirm that he still remembered his name.

"Yes, that." Alex answered calmly.

"My name is Mia Alysson, I am your personal nurse and I work for the Neox organization. Are you feeling any pain or do you need anything?" - Mia.

"Eeer...I don't feel anything strange, just a little hungry, but other than that I feel fine." - Alex.

"Okay, I will provide your food immediately!" - Mia was about to leave the room, but was interrupted by the boy.

"Wait a minute!" - Alex.

"Yes?" - Mia.

"How long have I been here? And what happened to the results of the selection exam?" Alex.

"Righ-"

Mia was about to answer, but was interrupted by someone leaning against the door.

"I'll answer your questions, you can go get the food." - Black-White.

"Roger that, Mr.Black-White!!!" - Mia quickly left the room as she felt a great deal of respect for the masked agent.

The special agent fully entered the hospital room and approached the boy's bed.

"Well?" - Alex with his usual calm and lazy expression.

"Good to see you again kid, your suicide attempt was interesting to watch." - Black-White.

"Yes,yes, please don't stall too long." - Alex.

'Young people these days are increasingly rushed...' - Black-White

"I'll get straight to the point then. You suffered serious injuries from the blow and because of that you were unconscious for 5 days in this hospital bed being treated by young Mia." - Black-White.

"Three days... And the result of the fight? Did Takeru win?" - Alex seeking to confirm his prediction.

"Yes, he finished the fight in a single attack, but collapsed soon after from the depletion of naro energy. By now he is recovered." - Black-White.

'I think I pushed him beyond his limit.' - Alex

"I see...What about the exam?" - Alex.

"It was completed the day after his fight and the results have already been released." - Black-White.

"Okay, so when are we going to the gym?" - Alex.

"How do you know you were chosen?!" - Black-White a little surprised.

"It would be a waste for you guys not to pick me. Besides, you wouldn't be here if that wasn't the case." - Alex.

'Is he smart or too arrogant? If it wasn't for Milady Marta I wouldn't have even bothered to come here!' - Black-White a little irritated.

"*sigh* You are right, your placement was last and Takeru Satoru's was 3rd, I was sent here to take you. However we will only go after your recovery." - Black-White.

"Huh? But I think I've already recovered..." - Alex.

"There's no way, your injuries were too GRAVE?!" Black-White.

The special agent was extremely surprised by the scene unfolding in front of her. The black-haired boy took off his sashes revealing his completely unharmed body, as if there were no injuries there.

'He's not human?! Aaaaaargh!!! I really should retire!' - Black-White.

And once again the agent almost loses his mind.
