"But that's impossible!!!" Mia looking at the scans of the fully recovered Alex.
At this moment, the nurse was doing a thorough inspection of the young man. Special Agent Black-White still wanted to make sure that there was nothing wrong with the boy's body, since she previously believed her certainty of the boy being just an ordinary human.
It may seem strange for a nurse to be in charge of examinations instead of a doctor, but all the nurses employed in the Neox organization learn advanced medicine in case the doctors in charge are not in a position to act. Also, Mia may be as a temporary nurse in this state-of-the-art hospital, however, her medical knowledge may surpass even the best doctors employed there.
"Even a few days ago her body was covered in wounds and bruises, how did she recover so quickly?....wait!!!! will it be?!!" - Mia stood next to Black-White checking the scans in a separate room.
"Maybe, I wouldn't rule out that possibility since he was living normally among humans until now..." - Black-White.
"But won't that be a problem for him?" Mia.
"Yes, and that is why this information cannot leak out in any way. Mia, could you do me the favor of not telling this secret to anyone?" - Black-White placing his hand on his chest and bowing elegantly to the nurse.
"No need to bow Mr.Black-White!!! I will take that secret with me to my grave!" - Mia with her face slightly flushed and a little nervous.
It may seem strange for the girl to agree so quickly, but she owes the special agent many things. In the beginning of her career in the Neox organization, Black-White helped her a lot and was kinder than the other veterans. Also, the nurse was assigned to care for Alex because of a personal request from the agent himself, so she didn't want to disappoint him or be one of the causes of his patient's death.
"I will be deeply grateful." - Black-White.
'Milady, I wonder if you knew that already? *sigh* I really can't understand what she's planning this time.' - Black-White.
"I'll put those files away before it falls into the wrong hands." - Black-White.
The agent took the folder in his hands and in the next instant the object vanished from the sight of both present in the room. After this, the two left the room and headed back to the room of the patient with the light green eyes. As they entered the room, they found the young man sitting in a chair leaning against a table while he fed himself.
"Well? When are we going?" - Alex as he ate.
"We'll stop by your house to pick up your things and then we'll leave for the academy." - Black-White.
"Okay" - Alex as he stood up and walked in front of Mia.
"Thanks for taking care of me while I was around." - Alex said calmly.
"You're welcome Mr.Alex Walker, but the next time you need medical treatment you will have to call me!" - Mia with a gentle tone.
'They've probably already figured it out, so it would be best to continue being taken care of by her from now on...' - Alex.
"Okay, okay, you can just call me Alex since that's how it is." - Alex.
"Okay, Alex." - Mia
"Let's leave the chat for later, it may have been earlier than expected, but we need to go soon if you want to be on time for the first week of school." - Black-White.
*laughs* Let's go then..." - Alex.
'I just hope I don't have to be moving around all day with no slack when classes start...' - Alex.
Little did he know that that was exactly what awaited him.
-----------‐---------------//‐---------------------------
After a few moments, the three of them walked out of the hospital towards Alex Walker's house. As they left the establishment, there was something outside that surprised the young man and almost left him slack-jawed. Waiting for them right in front of the hospital was a Volkswagen Beetle with scratched up bodywork and a noisy engine.
"And I warned them to send something discreet..." - Black-White putting his hand on his mask.
"Now we sure are the center of attention here." - Alex watching the luxury cars around.
"Aaaaaah!!! Screw you! Let's go before I break this car and decide to walk!" Black-White snapped angrily.
The special agent angrily went to the front seat to sit next to the driver while the other two left for the back seats. After that, they finally left the hospital, heading for the house where Alex had lived until then, drawing all the attention of the people around because of the noise it made walking.
After a few hours of slow driving, they finally arrived at the place and miraculously the car did not break down or get attacked on the way. The young man got out of the car alone and as he passed the door of the house, Alex found his guardians waiting for him in front of the entrance with two suitcases and a sealed cardboard box next to them.
"Congratulations on your approval, Alex" - Uncle and Tia as they triggered the confetti launcher they had in hand.
"*sigh* You guys were expecting this, right?" - Alex with a slightly sad expression.
"Yes, you were our son for 6 years, so we were sure you would pass." - Uncle.
"Just don't hurt yourself too much and come visit us on your vacation." - Aunt.
After they said those sentences, young Alex ran up to them and hugged them tightly. They may not be his real parents, but they both took care of him with all the love and care they could and always tried to make sure he didn't feel alone or abandoned. So the boy loved them very much, as part of his family.
After a few seconds, the teenager released them from their embrace and reached out to grab his bag and his box of red liquid that were on the floor.
"Take care..." - Alex walking to the door and leaving behind the two stunned members of his family.
"I thought he didn't see us as his family since he doesn't talk or show his feelings much, but we were wrong...it just makes it harder to see him leave so suddenly." - Tia as tears begin to well up in her eyes.
*crying*
"Don't worry dear, I'm sure he'll know how to turn around and we'll see him again." Uncle comforting his wife in his arms, with a single tear running down his cheek and a small smile on his face.
Outside, in the parked car...
The black-haired, head down boy finished stowing his luggage in the trunk, soon after he sat in the back seat with his cardboard box on his lap. The mood was quiet, until Black-White broke the silence.
"Are you sure you won't spend any more time with them?"
"If I roll even more, I might end up changing my mind..." - Alex turning his head toward the window.
"Okay, let's get going." - Black White.
