Friendzoning the reverse harem

I slouch onto the chair in my room. My debutante ball. Jesus take the wheel I might just kill someone.

The second I got home, my father had rushed home and brought me a bunch of designs for potential outfits for my debutante. I had finally managed to pick one that wouldn't tighten my lungs to hell. Specifically, a dress that didn't have a corset. On top of that I was also going to try out my dad's new transforming design and checking if the detachable skirt could make money. I was going to go down the If I was going into high society, then I was going in with all gender norms thrown out of that third story window.

I never understood debutante balls that well but all I knew was the fact that it was an announcement that 'my child is now at an age to be married off' and a gateway into high society. Which I didn't want anything to do with.

Nonetheless, Crystalia needed one, regardless of whether or not I wanted to attend. The day that I leave this body, I wanted Crystalia to be comfortable to the point that she wouldn't have to lift a finger even if she needed to drink water. That was an exaggeration but you get the point.

I stare at the color palettes for my debut.

"Sunset..." I mumble. "I have both starry eyes and golden highlights. Is that possible?"

The assistant nods. "I understand Miss Crystalia. Is there anything else?"

He looks familiar.

"May I help out with the decisions?" I smile. "I would like to make sure the workload isn't too much for you.

"Are you sure Miss?"

"Of course," I nod.

The assistant pauses. "Then please follow me Miss Crystalia. There are many things to take into account."

"Of course," I untied the back of my dress and follow him in my trousers. At least mother and father were kind enough to let me wear trousers under my skirts.

"Ah... so I never caught a name?" I asked. "What shall I call you?"

"My name's Felix, Miss Crystalia." he nods lightly and I hum.

"Shall I call you Sir Felix?" Felix still sounded familiar.

"You can call me Felix if you feel comfortable." the male nods.

I smile. "In that case, please just call me Crystalia."

The two of us get started on preparations and I'm pleased to find that arrangements are easier than I thought. Since letters could be sent with a snap of magic, preparations are finished in a day.

"How long will it take for my outfit to make it here?" I mumble.

Halfway through the preparations, I had remembered that Crystalia had somewhat of a harem before she got married. Felix was one of the men who ended up falling for her. Crystalia being the elegant lady that never started what she couldn't finish had reeled him in and then turned him into the nobleman of everyone's dreams. Too bad I lack that elegance.

I literally don't remember anything else other than that.

"A week at most." Felix nods. "Is there anything else you need?"

"Are you blessed by the sun?" I blurt out the question without thinking.

Felix has golden eyes, and his irises are shaped differently.

He laughs at my question. "Yes, yes, I am."

I stare in awe. He's pretty. He looks just like the sun with his blonde hair and golden eyes. Despite gold being a legally recognized eye color, there weren't many golden-eyed people in the empire. Only a select few were blessed by the sun.

"And you're one of the moon's blessed ones right?" Felix looks at me. "Ah no... you have golden highlights... are you perhaps... wait I'm stumped."

"Uh... let's just say I'm the first of my kind," I laugh lightly. "Let's just assume that I'm a blessed of the moon and the sun intervened."

"I see," Felix stares at me in awe. "I wasn't aware that the two could get along over a human."

"Neither did I," I laugh lightly. "Perhaps we can thank my mom for that,"

Not many people were blessed by the moon either. The moon was known to be even more selective than the sun when it came to blessed ones. And then... the sun and the moon never agreed upon the same person to bless. It was... strange in a way.

"So Felix..." I hum. "You... are the second son of Viscount Kami?"

"Yes," Felix smiles.

"I heard you're being pressured to get married," I mumble.

"Information sure spreads fast haha," Felix hums. "My father is thinking of wedding me to a duke's daughter or one of the imperial princesses. He's too greedy for his own good,"

"A duke's daughter... other than me there's... Bria... and then also Lady Magellan right?" I hum.

"Yes," Felix smiles. "Father is discussing with Duke Magellan about a possible marriage alliance."

"Ah... sounds disgusting," I scrunch up my face. "Lady Magellan... isn't exactly my cup of tea. She fakes herself to be too weak to get people's attention and then crushes any weak newcomers in the social circle."

"What about Lady Bria?"

"She..." I pause. Am I allowed to spoil the story? "She's my friend. Though... she gets jealous easily as the youngest in her family,"

Felix looks at me for a second before answering. "I see. So you are weary of Lady Bria?"

I blink at him and hum. "I've been friends with Bria since a long time ago. I've only recently noticed that she acts based on her own thoughts instead of the benefit of everyone."

Felix sighs. "Then who would you recommend Crystalia?"

"Perhaps the baroness? Baroness Astaria is a lovely person. Oh or if you want you can try archduke Lovremont's daughter. I heard that Princess Kore is also a wonderful person... or perhaps Marquioness Misty" I mumble. "Ah forgive me, do you have a lover at the time?"

"No..." Felix looks away. He does. He definitely does. I wrote him a good ol side story about him running away with the love of his life.

"Regardless," I smile. "If you need help with marrying the love of your life don't hesitate to let me know. Think of it as a thank you for helping me arrange my debutante."

Felix nods. "Anyways, Crystalia I heard you're being wedded to Prince Albert,"

"I am," I smile. "For the sake of convenience. Also he's a prince who's inheriting the title of Duke anyways."

Felix looks at me in pity.

"Don't worry about it Felix," I hum. "I chose the marriage myself. I also intend on getting divorced after I establish the fifth prince's position in society. Right now he doesn't have much power, he only has a title. I'll help him establish his position in the empire."

"Why are you helping him?"

This time I stare at Felix. I feel the sun shine from behind me. "Because I had a dream."

I gagged at that. But instead of staring incredulously, Felix stares at me in awe.

"I'm not sure-" I start.

"The temple sent out a word amongst the nobles earlier this month," Felix speaks. "That the girl who dies and revives shall know what the future holds."

What? what. wHAT?! WHAT IS THIS TURN OF EVENTS HUH?!!!

"So I trust your judgement." Felix smiles. "Only a select few know that you are the girl who died and came back to life. There was no scandal since you came back to life before your parents could even have a proper funeral."

I stare at him incredulously. What the fuck-

"So? Did you believe me?"

"FELIX!" I smack him playfully. "I can't believe you'd do that to me!"

"But regardless," Felix smiles. "I trust your judgment."

I smile at the boy as I reach the door to the residence. "Our meeting ends here today then. I look forward to seeing you around for the rest of the week,"

"As do I," Felix smiles. He kisses my hand lightly, and then he leaves on his carriage.

Felix... ah right. Felix was the boy that eventually assisted Crystalia in stealing the scepters. Mans was the one who ended up as the emperor's right hand man... no wonder he looked familiar. WAIT I FORGOT-

"SEE YOU SOON BESTIE!!!" I scream after his carriage. I was supposed to friendzone Crystalia's harem hnggg. Hopefully that was enough.

Dealing with people is hard... haaah.
