Chapter 79 Scions Of The Ten Clans

RB Chapter 79 Scions Of The Ten Clans

"Miss Cleo, is that really true?" Ngabi asked his voice turning sweeter for some reason.

Eric gulped forcefully.

'Such money! How much can she move?'

"According to what I know, shareholders are the ones who truly own the company. That means that you can't forcefully take away what's rightfully ours!" Sally said after calming down.

"You are right. But, there is a policy in our company, If a person's individual shares are less than one percent, they can be reposessed by the company." Cleopatra smirked.

"What!?"

'Heh! I am just scaring them.' Cleopatra who was aboard a flying vehicle thought.

'These will be the first experiment. I want them to grow, tear each other apart and in all that chaos, the strongest will emerge.' Her eyes lit up.

"Sandra, after this, I want you to inform me of any developments related to the Kampala city branch." She ordered through another connection.

"Yes, miss." Her secretary's voice came through.

------

"I will give you thirty minutes to discuss." Cleo's hologram vanished after that.

She had left them with the dilemma. Are they going to stay or be kicked out, with no pent to their names?

Eric leaned back in his chair and took a deep breath to try and calm his heart. He was excited. Right now, he didn't have a direction in life. He had even gave up any plans to join an organisation thinking that that was impossible unless he left Kampala city for good. But now, a chance had just fallen in his lap!

'But I will need to compete with these people. Hmmm...' His gaze roamed the people around the table. Some were doing the same thing as him.

"Bumpkin trio, have you decided to participate?" This time the voice came from another of the females. It was sultry and it also contained a hint of dissatisfaction.

"Do you think that only you seven are qualified?" Elena snapped.

The woman who had spoken was dressed in a way matching her voice. She was wearing a flaming red mini dress, nicely carved face, and mounds which every male here wanted to just squeeze, even Eric.

Ah, puberty! He felt saliva accumulating in his mouth wanting to be gulped down.

'Those mounds even surpass those of that woman, Chloe!'

Her dress was even barely holding the two things in place!

'Those things yearn for freedom, should I liberate them....no no no she just insulted me, I can't be having such thoughts!' He hurriedly shook his head vigorously.

"You aren't?" The woman misunderstood him.

"Of course I am entitled to participate. You should focus more on maintaining your grown up status instead of insulting us young ones." Eric threw a jab at her.

A wrinkle appeared on her beautiful face before smoothening out and she proceeded to ignore the trio.

"Pathetic." Elena directly mocked her before her vision roamed the faces of those around the table.

Leah, on the other hand had her head lowered, but her eyes were flickering.

"What happened to your arm?" The person who commanded the most respect in the room, Mugumivu Njovu asked.

"Something happened in the wilderness. I don't want to talk about it." Eric's expression darkened.

"Anyway, since all of us are still here, it means that all of us have chosen to stay and compete. If it is so, I will warn you beforehand, we aren't comrades but competitors. I won't take any pity or show mercy!" A powerful momentum erupted out of the man's body after saying his piece causing all the people at the table to shift uncomfortably in their seats.

'This man might have already mastered energy channeling! If the ten clans were still here, he would be the next person after Leo to surpress them.' Eric circulated his energy and got rid of the tension that had appeared in his cells.

"By the way, that woman talked about a change in era, what did she mean?" Another man asked. He had a perpetual grin on his face, but his eyes were narrowed dangerously. He gave off a faint feeling of threat which wasn't inferior to Njovu, but he seemed like someone who was not content with staying in the shadows.

"Beats me." The man seating next to him clad in the same clothes like him said. Admiration was practically oozing out of him but it was all directed towards the man next to him.

'I have a vague feeling that I have heard of him...' Eric stared at the man who gave a pressure not inferior to that of Njovu.

'...that's right! He is Monki Nkyima!' Eric's pupils violently contracted upon remembering the man's name. It was like thunder to his ears.

This guy, before Elena's massacre, was the first person to slaughter ordinary citizens! The incident took place in a relatively secluded place, plus his Nkyima clan made sure to surpress the incident. He had searched through the clan's archives and found the information related to the incident.

The hanger-on or you could even say his self proclaimed fan was from the Njukyi clan. His name was Sting Njukyi.

'But I wonder why such a guy would practically stay low key. Is there some reason to it?' Eric wondered.

'In every sense of the word, we are the underdogs.' Eric thought.

"Monki..." Mugumivu said under his breath but everyone managed to catch it. His face was adorning a frown. Right now the seating arrangement around the table spoke volumes.

First came Eric, his back to the door he just came in from, flanked by Elena and Leah to his left and right respectively.

If you followed Elena's side, the sultry woman with the red dress was next, followed by Sting Njukyi, Monki Nkyima, a woman who had yet to introduce herself, Ngabi, Mugumivu Njovu, Sally Ggonya and finally, Leah to his right side.

The moment Mugumivu uttered that name, everyone felt tension appear in the room. It seems like Mugumivu didn't like Monki.

Monki's eyes also narrowed dangerously.

"Calm down. We are all comrades here." A sweet pleasant sounding voice sounded causing the two to come down and move both their gazes towards the speaker. She was the only woman who had not yet introduced herself!

If you wanted to use a word to describe her, she would magnificently fit the word goddess! From her minute expressions down to her demeanor, they carried a noble, sacred and inviolable feeling! She gave off a feeling of gentleness coupled with her beauty. She was clad in a simple brown dress with a necklace of diamonds adorning her slender neck.

'Oy! Such a person can exist? She is too dazzling!' Eric felt as if he had fallen in love at first sight!

Even the two strongest males in the room were mesmerised by her beauty! Njovu clicked his tongue upon seeing the woman was sea ten close to Monki. He was even wondering whether he should simply exchange seats with Ngabi!

"Miss Njibwa, we were just testing each other out." Monki took the liberty to explain. He was even speaking carefully.

"Pathetic! I Dora Pusi abhor your fake pretentiousness!" The sultry woman in the red dress focused her scorching gaze on Njibwa. But she acted like she hadn't heard anything except for a tiny frown.

"Shut up, Dora! How can you try to compare yourself to her?" Ngabi jumped out. It was like he was the one who was offended.

Eric was surprised that all the males here were infatuated with Njibwa not even caring about Dora! Even though she wasn't as beautiful as Njibwa, she was still appealing in her own right.

"We already know that you aren't pure." Monki grinned meaningfully causing Dora's body to tremble. She was enraged!

Eric had heard a little of Miss Njibwa. She was the prized daughter of the clan leader of the Njibwa clan. But what had caught his attention was that the clan members were all merged with the DNA of the white dove! That alone caused doubts in his mind about how they could take a position as one of the ten clans with such a weak creature! It must have a secret.

'It looks like she is popular.' Eric thought. All the men were like planets surrounding the sun.

The only person who didn't have the slightest care about everything, was Sally who had a holographic screen in front of her calculating something.

"It wasn't her fault! Never humiliate her like that!" Miss Njibwa berated Monki with a serious expression.

"Okay!" Monk obediently said.

'If I didn't know that she was really kind, I would think that she had most of those men wrapped around her finger.' Eric observed. Even though she looked like a goddess who had descended to earth, he knew that his chances with her were slim, so he didn't dare to even pine for her. After all there were two heavyweights already showing their affection. It wasn't like he feared them, but he was disabled and fighting those two would be strenuous! He judged it like that even though he was sure that they didn't have any inkling about energy channeling!
