Westside Diamonds (1)

Riding in his motorbike, Jayce accelerated it faster.

He went to wherever the road took him, wherever is the fastest route towards the address given to him. Into the crowded cities, to the rural areas, to the bleak and unfathomable and ever-spreading roads.

He passed them by with great speed that all the other drivers on the driveway felt annoyed or startled, spouting curses upon his passing.

"Fuck that asshole! Why don't you die?!"

A pedestrian holding her cute little poodle while attempting to cross the road shouted. But Jayce did not mind as he drove his motorbike even faster, worried that Fiel's life might be in danger.

Finally, after a few turns and a couple of clustered paths he reached a narrow mucky trail beyond the outskirts of Ragoria City. Just like the numerous sprouting tree branches he had passed by, the roads he journeyed from would often split and lead him somewhere else. It was just like how his life began to roll in a different direction.

'How did I let this happen?'

Asking himself this question over and over while gripping the hand clutches tighter, guilt is running over his mind because he had a nerve wrecking hunch that the call a while ago would be connected to the Dean.

'He knew that I'm a Gang Lord...'

It was only took this thought to felt anxious about Fiel.

"Shit! Am I really cursed?"

Under his hoarse voice, he could feel the after-effects of his reckless speedy driving from a while ago. The chilling wind seeped through his hands making them grow cold while mauling over a question that he had been laughing aside. If before he treated those insults about his curse as something people beneath him would say. Now, he began to consider it as a reality.

Putting that aside, Jayce noticed some moving shadows near the barricade of barb wires across the building.

According to the address, the unknown caller is located near an abandoned building at Diamond West Spade, Fifth Street. Seeing the towering building hovering above his head, Jayce can easily recognize this place.

The Failed Mega City.

The supposed Capital City of Ragoria, but due to varying political factors and lack of resources the project was canceled. Some parties were still willing to continue but vehemently requested to relocate the City which opted for a transfer of location somewhere else. What little thing that had remained was this building. Then eventually, this place had turned into a neighboring slum.

The very similar place Jayce had come from.

Surprisingly, facing the same environment he once had, he greeted it with calmness. No, more like a forced calm. He knew he had to be alert in this kind of environment. For this is like a den of vultures.

After Jayce had slowly alighted from his motorbike the figures lurking behind the shadows slowly approached him. What Jayce had expected had come to bare their filthy hands against him.

"Eyyy looks like we got a visitor here."

A baldy with a missing tooth eyed Jayce from head to toe but he instantly regretted playing it coy. He seemed to have recognized who this young man is and the moment his eyes distinguishes the person in front of him, his eyes felt like rolling backward in fear.

Jayce's gaze felt like it can cut through the night air—it was extremely sharp like a piece of thin ice.

"Look who we fo... fo... found! Is... is isn't it the Tiger?"

The baldy smirked, trying to hide his fear, but his voice clearly gave in as his wording stuttered.

It is funny that after his failed attempt to look smug he proceeds to showcase a basic courtesy for crooks—bringing out a knife and licking its blade. A greeting Jayce is very familiar with.

But to his dismay Jayce is unaffected. In response, Jayce simply nodded. He could not be bothered entertaining fools who seek death in exchange for money. His only goal is to reach Fiel as soon as possible.

Seeing that Jayce has no plans on returning his polite greeting, the bald hooligan alternated between pointing his lips from his subordinates to Jayce—gesturing to his fellow bald brothers to attack the suspected 'Tiger'

Jayce could only sigh in defiance.

"I guess, I am known here but not respected huh."

Jayce then steadily moved his hand, raising it to protect his head from the upcoming fist who tries to punch his face.

"Many had come here claiming they are the said 'Tiger' but few had made it out here alive hehe."

One of the Bald Brothers exclaimed, remarking a threat then laughs. To Jayce beating this fucker in one solid blow could easily end the fight but because there are too many of them he could not bring himself to rush in.

It is just a matter of being faster in closing their gap. His gaze shifted to the left-wing of their formation, where another baldy is about to come forward.

Dashing towards this unsuspecting baldy, he easily found a chance. With a heavy uppercut to its chin, the baldy swiftly kissed the ground.

The crooks stared in disbelief as one of their brothers laid flat without surprise!

Some of them started thinking that perhaps,

'He is the real Tiger???'

But it was too late to think as Jayce came like a rampaging beast, anyone who enters his line of sight is slaughtered in two or three strikes before collapsing to the ground.

His expertise when it comes to a brawl did not match his physique, but the throws he made certainly hit the right angles. One by one, Jayce made them regret blocking his path.

"Aren't you tired yet? You should pant too if you like."

Another baldy who got separated from the group started speaking nonsense, catching his breath as he hopes to buy some time, just until he could recover his stamina.

Unfortunately, to Jayce who has no time to waste, he finds it ridiculous. A smirk escaped his lips while waving his upper body.

*Bam!*

At the drop of Jayce's determined punch, the poor baldy receives an unforgiving haymaker to his temple.

Down he goes.

The whole place is now engulfed in a disruptive disorder. Each punch Jayce made created loud screeching screams and as time went by, the voices that are yelling slowly dwindled.

It went for almost an hour before Jayce could finally see a striking reduction to their numbers. Some who had survived went back to their leader,

"Boss, what should we do? I think he is the real Tiger. I think we should..."

Asking the obvious made Harak, the Boss of the West Diamond Street frown. Of course, he had already noticed it by now, judging on how Jayce had easily handled them. But there is no use in saying that now.

"No! We already made a deal! We can't..."

A minute ago, a group of people dressed in black suits arrived on their turf asking them to be their lookout. They offered a handsome amount of money as compensation for borrowing their place and as a result, Harak tactfully agreed.

Little did he know that the 'Tiger' is here because of them.

Jayce did not really want to have some beef against the Westside Diamonds—the Gang Harak is leading. For Jayce knew that there is nothing to be gained from them since they are nothing but a lowly start-up Gang, commonly known as the backwater mercenaries of some sort in Ragoria City.

They would do anything for money.

"Alright, I am pleased to be greeted by Harak of the Westside Diamonds. But as you can see, am in a hurry. Either you fuck off or I'll kill you right here."

Jayce could not delay it any further. Upon issuing a blatant death threat following his words, he took out a 9mm custom-made M&P Revolver.

Quickly releasing the hammer, a bullet is now loaded and ready to fire. Jace slowly aimed the gun in front of Harak's very nose.

"So what it's gonna be? Baldy."
