chapter 7

He put his arm around me while we entered the dungeon. I don't know why but I felt safe.

[I don't get it I don't even really know him]

"If you want to know why you feel that way I can tell you" He says

[there is a reason?]

"wait how did you know what I was thinking? did you read my mind?"

"hahaha"

I heard him laughing

"why are you laughing at me?" I said in a pouting tone

"sorry it's just that what your thinking is practically written all over your face."

"oh" I replied with my head down in embarrassment

"I'm more surprised you haven't asked my name or introduced yourself yet." he says

"ahh, I-I completely forgot, I'm sorry."

[how could I be so stupid and not even ask his name or even introduce myself]

He suddenly caressed my cheek with his hand

[oh God his hand feels so nice]

"no I'm the one who's sorry, I was just teasing you."

"o-oh" another wave of embarrassment hit me

"How about this, lets start over." he said

I looked at him in confusion

"um how?"

"just like this."

He took a step back and held out his hand

"It's nice to meet you my name is Shay."

I look down at his hand and just stared for a moment

"you know this is the part where you shake my hand and introduce yourself" Shay said in a teasing tone.

I was immediately brought back to my senses and stood up straight

"ah right sorry"

I reached out and held his hand

"my name is Katrina, it is very nice to meet you" I said with a big smile on my face.

"Katrina, hmm, It is very pretty just like you"

I immediately blushed

After that we kept walking down the staircase to enter the dungeon.

When I finally looked up after almost 30 minutes of walking down stairs I noticed that we were already in the dungeon.

Shay still had me held tight to his side with his arm around my waist. Well I certainly wasn't going to complain.

When I looked around I noticed something different about this dungeon. Most dungeons are like really large caves or high level dungeons can be like going into another world, well that can be explained later because this dungeon was like nothing I have ever seen before.

"what is this place this isn't like any dungeon I've been in before" I directed my question towards Shay

He didn't respond so I looked up towards him. His face looked angry and like he was contemplating something. He must have noticed me staring because he looked down towards me.

When he looked at me, Shay's face softened.

[well although I'm glad looking at me calms him down but I'm worried about that expression he made earlier]

"Don't worry about it, but you should head back up and I can deal with this"

When he said that I surprised myself and got angry.

"What do mean go up weren't you the one who only came down because I asked you to help."

He could see I was angry so he made sure He watched his words.

"I know but that was before I knew what this place was and I want to make sure you will be safe."

"What do you mean before you knew what this place was, what is this place." I was less angry but I was still irritated that he didn't just explain everything.

(sigh)

Shay sighed knowing that he wouldn't be able to get me to leave without explaining things.

"This place isn't just a dungeon."

"what does that even mean"

(sigh)

Shay sighed once more.

"This is a residence of a god"

My eyes opened wide in shock then went back to normal.

"you must be joking" I retorted

"no I'm not that is why you should leave"

When I looked into his eyes I knew he was serious.

"ok I'll go but you have to come back and explain everything to me"

"don't worry I will"

I turned around and started heading back towards the staircase but as soon as I got there a gate came down and blocked off my way to the staircase. I tried breaking it but I couldn't even scratch it.

Then I heard a voice from behind me start talking that wasn't Shay's.

"oh my Lucifer do you really think I would let your little girlfriend go"

As I turned around I saw a man standing at the other side of the hall looking towards Shay.
