CHAPTER 7, THE MYSTERY

Me, Jade and Mizuki were looking for members to form a Division but it was getting hard. Not many people are registering for Division because tthey already have chosen a Division to join. "What should we do?" Jade asked me.

"Maybe we-" My sentence is cut when Ray pounces on me.

"There's a girl in Class 1 B who has a rather rare Special Ability, Fate." He said and I titled my head. "It allows you to see that countless possibilities in time and set ome pf them to be the one for you."

"She is probably Lucia Angel-san." Mizuki said. "She's one of my classmates, she's from the Research Department."

"Then let's go!" Aria said as she popped out from behind us. "Oh right, where's my membership I.D.?"

"Membership I.D.? Aria do you want to join my Division?" I asked her.

"Yeah, me and Shin, thoigh he isn't here at the moment." She said. "Anyways, what is the membership I.D. you're giving out?"

"Ah, it's this brooch." I told her and tried to get one from Mizuki who was having yet another nosebleed. The brooch isbplain for now just like starter Divisions, but when the Division has enough members we'll make the Insignia of our Division.

So with them it's five, not even half the qouta yet. The three of us, meaning me, Jade and Mizuki went to the Research Department where Miss Lucia was, arriving there we were surprised at how hectic they are. Well they aren't the Research Department without their research. "Um, excuse me, is Miss Angel here?" I asked as a girl passed by.

"That's me." She said, she had blonde hair which was chin length and white skin with blue and purple heterochromic eyes. She was wearing a silver tiara style like hairband. "Greetings, Jade, Mizuki and Licht."

"Hello, may we-" I was about to ask her something but she cut me off.

"No need, I already, and I'll join you if you help me out with my research." She said. "To be honest, I'm happy to be scouted by skilled people."

"Thank you, what do you need help with?" I asked, it seems her ability truly is as they say. She can be a good asset to us.

"Help me decode these." She said handing each of us three pieces of paper each. "I'm not sure what it is. It isn't ancient language or pre-war language nor present day language."

We looked at the papers, there are characters written on them with translations to english, there are also pictures. Flowers, gems and constellations alike. There were short sentences beside the pictures. "I haven't got the faintest clue as to what this is." Jade said.

: The month of carnations shall bloom before the love which has blossomed. The loyalty to thy comrades shall not lead thee astray.

The faithfulness of the primrose to thy vow shall be the chains that bind thee, let not thy rage cloud thou judgement.

The one who is blessed with luck shall be guided by daffodils which guard thy journey. Seek allies when the time is right.

The voice of courage shall whisper to the diamond in the rough. Let not thy fear bring forth weakness.

The wisdom of the lighst shall be known to the emerald which hides in the valley of tragic memories. Hold on to thy past but do not let it drive thee to falling into the darkness.

Let thy love bloom, a like a single scarlet rose blooming in full glory, before the bloody battlefield. Let love fill thy heart and show thee the beauty of the world.

The one who bears the ruby red light of the world, let not the darkness consume thee. Open thy heart to others and together they shall drive away the darkness of the night.

Let not the dark night scare thee for when joined with the chosen few, thy light shall chase away the dark night. For the peridot that is the night light of thy heart.

The love of the morning glory will guide thee to happy days, never lose sight of the light beyond the darkness.

Stubbornness or determination, what is the differemce between the two? You who knows not which is which, let the cosmos tell thee the truth.

Strengthen thy heart before the night which seems to swallow thee, let not thy own doubts be the cause for thy fall. Stand strong and tall, let thy heart be clear and strong, like a vibrant topaz.

Success will come, so before the darkness fear not. Let light shine from deep within the heart and paint the world a turquoise hue.

Strengthen thy resolve, let thy true light shine and chase away the dark. From deep within thy hearts, learn thy true self and stand strong before thy foe. :

This was what was written beside each picture. Riddles? It's kinda hard to understand though.

We've been digging through papers for hours now but we still haven't found any clue. "What are these for anyway?" Jade asked.

"There's been strange activity at the H.Q. where the Helios Heart is. A few days ago these suddenly appeared on various places around the world, having the same symbol, a sun." Lucia answered. "The Research Department has been tasked with finding out it means."

The Helios Heart, a perpetual shining artifact found after the first Lights awakened. As of now, no one knows what purpose it serves but according to their findings it supplies the Helios Particles to the air. The Helios Particles create ability users, ability users become Lights and fight against the Shadows. That's how things have been, recently the Helios Heart has been releasing high amounts of Helios Particles according to these papers.

After much researching, we took a quick break, and that's when Shin came by. "Hello, how are you ~degozaru?" He asked, behind him was Yuri of the Swords.

"We're struggling." Jade answered aMizuki was passed out from exhaustion.

"Can we help?" Miss Yuri asked.

"Can you understand this?" Jade asked handing her the papers.

"Oh? Aren't these just birth gems and flowers ~degozaru?" Shin said and the four of us got up.

"Carnation for January, primrose for February, daffodils for March, diamonds for April, emeralds for May, roses for June, July has Ruby." Yuri said. "Peridot for August, morning glory for September, cosmos for October, topaz for November and December's gem is Torquise."

"I see, numbering them, there are twelve, the thirteenth isn't part of it!" Miss Lucia exclaimed. "But what do the twelve symbolize?"

"Sacred Swords." I answered her as I realized it. They appeared right after the day when I was swallowed by the Shadow, when that strange old man said the Sacred Swords would awaken.

"What ever they are, I'll dig up more information." Miss Lucia said with a smile. "Anyways, call me when the Division's first meeting will be held." She said with a smile.

"Okay then." I answered as I recalled our deal. Ahahaha, I was intrigued by the research I completely forgot. It's already pretty late now.

"Oh right, I heard the Arsenal Department has a wonderful rookie among them. Why not check them out?" She told me.

"Thank you." I answered her.

Shin and Yuri along with Ray left and went to the cafe, the Jade and Mizuki went to their rooms and I went back to the dorms as well. Tomorrow is going to be hectic too, but for some reason they don't feel too bad. I suppose this is fine too.
