Aliana and Peter approached the deer quietly and hid behind a bush near the pond. There were two does and a buck drinking water. Peter got excited and drew his arrow to shoot and Aliana watched him with a frown, their position was not ideal for a clean shot.
She tapped his leg from her crouched position and when he looked down at her Aliana shook her head at him. Motioning to the side of the pond closer to the deer but still covered with bushes, she started to quietly make her way closer.
Peter shook his head and lined up the shot to kill the buck. He let his arrow loose and he held his breath as it flew through the air. It landed in a tree near the deer, alarmed by the sound the animals ran off into the woods. Aliana rolled her eyes and walked over to Peter.
"Why didn't you move closer to get a clear shot?" Aliana asked.
"I knew what I was doing," Peter said disgruntled.
