When I started the series, I hoped to write a series, and it was going to feature Josh and his college roommates.  I started Playing by the Rules, and by the end, the whole thing derailed and took me with it.  What started as a book about a guy and his roommates turned into a series about brothers, their relationship with each other, and their relationship with the women they love.  


One question I got asked a lot was would I ever consider writing a book about how Bryce and Addison met.  I always said no, I wouldn’t.  You see, Bryce and I don’t get along.  If he annoys you, try living with him in your head for months on end.  What can I say, he got his way, because I ended up writing a Portwood Series Novella all about how Bryce and Addison met.  I hope you enjoy their beginning and know this is absolutely the last time I will write a book for Bryce.  Next time I’m killing him off.
