Lily kept gazing at Alex while he spoke, and when she heard the last thing he said, she burst into laughter.

Alex stood looking at her, wondering what came into Lily. She was so depressed, and suddenly she started laughing. The more she looked at Alex’s puzzled face, the more she laughed.

“Ok. Seriously, what is it, Lily? You are scaring me now.” Alex asked.

“You thought I like Rayan?” she asked.

“I did not; you said so. Or, that is what it seemed.” Alex answered.

“Gosh, Alex, you are hilarious. I cannot believe you.” She said so and then started walking again.

“Ok. That is it? Lily, don’t act silly. Please tell me, what do you mean?” Alex was irritated and so curious to know what Lily meant.

She looked at him and said, “You know what, you made up my day. I don’t feel like going home. Let’s go somewhere nice, quiet, and talk. What do you say?”

“Ok, I like this idea. But still, you can tell me what you meant while on our way to somewhere nice.” Alex said.
