Satisfied with her decision, Jessie was buoyant when she entered the house. Now that the seasonal warm weather was upon them, Zach had set the table out on the deck with a tablecloth and candles, and champagne in a bucket of ice. He greeted her with a glass.


"Welcome home," he said taking her briefcase and setting it down on the floor. "How was your first day back?"


"I want to show you something," she said. Bending down Jessie unsnapped her briefcase, and pulled out the framed award, and handed it to him. "This is what I received today."


Zack held it in his hands. "Wow, Jess. What an honor. Congratulations!" He held up his drink, "Here's to my beautiful bride and a future I've dreamed about for as long as I can remember."


Zach handed her a glass. "I need to get the casserole out of the oven. Why don't you have a seat and I'll be right out."
