Opening her eyes, Jessie was filled with excitement knowing she was marrying her best friend today. Tossing her legs over the side of the bed, she jumped up and walked to the window, pulling the curtain aside so she could see what the weather was like. It was beautiful, not a cloud in the sky and no signs of rain. She filled her lungs with fresh air and released it. Noticing how quiet it was outside, no cars driving by, porch lights still lit, had her glancing at the clock only to learn it was five o'clock in the morning. She giggled like a schoolgirl, not caring about the time. She was awake now. Besides who could fall back to sleep with the kind of celebration promised?
