Chapter 38: Debut Of Vigilante Work, New Quirk

(Daily Music: Bubblegum Bitch)

(Alright, about that hint as to who the two people he shares traits with, y'all didn't come close with the hints I gave you. Here's the only other hint I'll be giving: They both have white hair. That's the last hint y'all are getting, since I think it should be pretty easy to get them now.)

I went out during the middle of the night, looking for villains.

If I was spotted by heroes, and they managed to identify me, it would land me in hot water. So, I went in different clothing. Only the bare minimum, no crazy outfit.

(So, his night clothing only consists of two things. A scarf, and an all black skin-tight fit.)

(This is what the scarf looks like)

(This is what the skin-tight fit looks like. Obviously, he's not that big or ripped. Yet.)

And so, I set out.

My first place to patrol would be the areas that are less heavily populated, since there are bound to be more scum there who are cocky because there's an extremely low chance that a hero will get them.

For starters, poor areas where people are in terrible living conditions. Poor water and food, constant work just for a tiny salary, stuff like that. Crime is giant in these kinds of areas, but heroes would rather show off in places where there are lots of people, because almost all of them are shallow scumbags who want to be praised for anything but being an actual good person.

I got to one of these areas. There were people on the street, begging for meagre amounts of money simply to afford single pieces of bread so that they could live off of that for as long as possible, and the cycle would repeat until they either manage to secure a source of income, or they die.

Sick children walked the streets, parentless, either because their parents are dead, or because their families got rid of them because they couldn't support them with the rest of the family.

Just looking at the site of the poor area made me extremely angry. The fact that these people have to live in these horrible conditions because of the scum at the top, scrounging for scraps to get by, combatting disease and hunger every minute.

Note to self: Try and find a way to better the living conditions of these places. These people didn't deserve this horrid lifestyle. I wanted little more than to make it so that they could live in much nicer conditions.

Some would probably be confused because I show care for these people, yet I constantly show that I have no care for what others think of me or how I do things.

I want to help people, genuinely, I do. I want nothing more than to give these people a fair chance at life, to break them free from their chains that they were shackled by, either at birth or after some kind of event that hindered them.

However, at the same time, I don't see why I should act like some shining beacon of hope and positivity to do that, like all the heroes do, always smiling, never showing any emotion that doesn't practically scream joy and happiness. It's why I have a liking towards heroes like Crimson Riot, Endeavor, Aizawa and Gang Orca. They are true to their emotions, and they show the public what they are really like.

I want to help people and also stay true to my real self at the same time.

Eventually, I spotted some activity that might be worth looking into. A man walking to an alleyway, looking next to and behind him constantly, as if making sure he was alone, before finally actually going into the alley.

While it could just be another person making sure they're truly safe, I wanted to confirm it. So, I went across the structures to get there. Street lights, buildings, stuff like that.

When I followed the man from above, I saw him walk up to someone huddled in a corner, trying to warm themselves. I could faintly hear what he said.

"You seem to be cold. Here, lemme warm you up", he said, before his arm became encased in fire.

He was about to pierce the person with his now fire covered fist, but I wasn't going to let that happen.

I jumped down to where he was, grabbed him by the neck, and jumped back to the rooftops, so that the person below wouldn't see what I was about to do, both the shield him from the sight and to make sure he couldn't get a single detail of what I looked like, to the point where he would probably think that he was hallucinating the appearance of the fire man in the first place.

When I got to the roof with the villain, I decided that I would take his Quirk. It seemed like it was interesting, and I wanted to know if I could make it so that I could cover more than just an arm in fire. So, I put my right hand on his back, and absorbed an orange, wavy essence in his body. When it went into my body, I felt like I now had access to the ability.

(This suggestion for a Quirk for Jokara to take was a suggestion from Chuluo. He said to have a logia like ability, starting with just being able to cover the arm with fire, and, with training, being able to do more. So, y'all can thank Chuluo for this one.)

I wasn't going to have any theatrics with this scumbag. So, I made a small sharp bone on my wrist that could extend by sliding my hand forward quickly, and stabbed it into his back. Then I used a property on the bone.

Edit.

I could use this property on a bone to allow me to edit some things about someone if I insert the bone into them.

So, I edited a few things: First, I made their body susceptible to rapid rises in temperature. Second, I made their blood and bones combustible through fast increases of temperature.

Add that together, what do you get?

A living bomb when exposed to high levels of heat in a short frame of time.

After I made the edits, I then changed the bone's property to Fire.

The rapid rise in temperature from the bone igniting into flames from within the now highly combustible body combined, and made the scumbag explode.

That was him dealt with.

I patrolled around the area more, but didn't get any more activity for the rest of the night. At least, for as long as I stayed. Eventually, I decided to head back home. I didn't want my parents to freak out when they go to wake me up in the morning, only to realise I'm not there.

So, when I arrived home, I put the scarf and skin-tight fit back in my wardrobe, and went to bed.

So, I got a new Quirk. I would begin training with it when I get back home from school tomorrow. I wasn't going to use it at school, though. That would be foolish.

(Keep coming with suggestions for Quirks for him to take. I will still look at the suggestions from the other chapter where I asked, but I want multiple sources to look for suggestions.)

(Also, what do you guys think of Jokara's character so far?)
