"I am sorry, what?" I ask, making sure I got that right.
"Nothing" he says, trying to cover it up.
"No, no, no. Did you just say Aceton? Your real name is Aceton?" I chuckle.
"Yeah, whatever, laugh all you want."
"It is funny. It reminds me of Acetone." I laugh. "I mean, what is your middle name? Acrylic?"
"Shut up."
"Really, it is really hilarious." I laugh.
"I said shut up."
"Seriously though, what -is- your middle name?" At this point I was just cracking myself up.
"Shut up Emilia"
"What, all I am doing is ask what your middle name is, I do not see w-"
Then he pulled the most cliché move in the history of cliché moves.
Yes. He kisses me. square on the fricking lips.
I surprised myself my kissing him back, but then came to my senses and pulled away.
"No, we can not keep doing this."
He nodded before saying: "You're right. Sorry."
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
"Come on you guys. It's been over seven minutes." I hear Alec say. "We're ready to give you your presents."
"Well then I guess we better get going." I awkwardly smile at him.
"After you, princess." he smiles, causing my heart to flutter.
I open the closet door and was immediately greeted by the same smell of alcohol and sweat, and also the smirking faces of all my friends.
"Remind me never to have a birthday party ever again. I do not think sweat and alcohol is my thing." I laugh, causing my them all to laugh.
"Do not even ask." I say to the girls while walking past them towards the sitting room.
"So, please give me my presents. I have been dying all night." I fake agony.
"Fine, fine, since you're so eager to get a two hundred dollar Starbucks gift card." Noah says.
"Seriously! you got me a Starbucks gift card?" my eyes lit up.
Noah's smile drops before he responded:
"No, bit I got you a..." he handed me large square box, that was surprisingly light.
"Pillow." he says. I stare at him with my eyebrows furrowed.
I untied the ribbon and opened the box to see it actually was a pillow.
A cushion pillow.
A very cool, cushion pillow.
The case was black and pink tie dye and on it, in bold, capital letters were the words 'CERTIFIED BADASS'. In tiny letters were: "Happy Birthday Ems, from your all time favorite."~Noah.
I have never been so appreciative about getting a pillow before.
"This is so fricking cool Noah!" I get up and gave him a big hug. Through the corner of my eye, I saw Ace's jaw clench.
What is up with him?
"Thank you" I tell Noah before pulling away.
"My turn!" McKenna says, handing me a medium heavier rectangular shaped box, with a card that says: "Happy birthday newbie"
I did the same thing as I did with Noah's gift. Untied the ribbon.
I gasped. It was a LED glass case with a rose inside, like the one from beauty and the beast.
"Oh my gosh, I love it. Thank you!" I say, hugging her.
"Okay, okay, it's my turn." Hailey chirped in.
"Happy birthday Em." She smiles then handed me a small velvet box.
I opened the box to find a cute silver bracelet with letter charms. I pause when I realized what they meant.
"Are these-"
"All of our initials? yes." she smiles. Just then, everyone, including Ace, holds up their wrists, showing off their matching bracelets.
I smile at all of them. "Aww, I love it."
"Alright, it's my turn." Michael pipes up.
"No, no, no. Ladies first." Hannah says as she made her way into the room. "Sorry I'm late, this guy was hitting on me." she laughed, causing the girls and I to laugh too.
"This is from me." she hands me a squared box and I opened it and my jaws drop.
"You got me a fricking Polaroid Camera?!" I exclaim.
"What? You don't like it?" she asked with a worried look.
"Wh- are you kidding? I fricking love it!"
I've always wanted one of these, I have a bunch of the newer versions but nothing beats these bad boys.
"Thanks, Hannah" I hug her.
After that, the rest of the crew proceeded to give me gifts. Alec gifted me a twelve constellation keychain, Michael was the one to gift me a Starbucks gift card instead of Noah. I will be making the most of that. Levie gifted me a VR game set and a Call of Duty CD. My dear James, gave me an LED Pluto Dreamlight, it is basically a lamp that makes the inside of a room look like the galaxy while playing music. That was also one of the things I have always wanted, but I have never remembered to get one. Guess I do not have to worry about that anymore.
Lastly, was Ace. I am actually surprised he gave me a thing, but, if I did know he would give me something there would be no reason for me to be surprised with what he gave me.
It was a silver necklace with a pendant that said: Princess.
"Of course. Leave it to Aceton Kingsman to give me a necklace of the name he keeps calling me." I pause. "Feels weird saying this, but thank you." I smile at him and he nodded sternly, before smiling back. Though it was gone as soon as it came.
"So. Em's got her gifts. Why are we sitting here like a bunch of Lazy people and not partying!?" Hailey exclaims, and that was that.

I woke up to the beautiful sound of birds humming their usual tune, under the shining sun and the cool Autumn breeze flows through my half open window.
Yeah, I wish.
Firstly, my phone rang and the sun was shining directly in my eyes, so I jolted awake, which unfortunately triggered my first, massive hangover.
"Oh crap." I hiss before picking up my phone from my nightstand.
"Hey Em!" Abigail explained through the phone. I wince at her loudness before addressing it.
"Abigail, why do you speak so loud? I can hear you perfectly fine." I groan.
"Mhm, that bad huh." she laughs.
"Ugh. I am never drinking again." I groan again, running my hand through my dark, silk hair.
Abbie giggles before saying:
"So you are at James' right?" She asked?
"Yeah, why?"
"Nothing, really, just trying to make conversation." she says. "Hey you should go get a glass of water and some Advil for that hangover."
"Right, how could I not know that?"
"Because you have never gotten drunk before." she chuckles. "Now go."
"Fine, fine, I am going."
"Okay, love you."
"Yeah, me too. Bye" I smile, then hung up.
I could not help but realize that she had forgotten to wish me a happy birthday, but decided to ignore it.
I make my way out of the room and down the stairs, just in time to hear glass clinking.
"James, is that you?" I ask, but no answer.
"James?"
"Hello? who is there?"
No answer.
"If you are an intruder just know that I have a..." I trail off spotting a baseball bat in the corner of the room.
"A bat, I have a bat, and I am not afraid to use it." I say.
There was still no answer. At the point, my heart was beating rapidly in my chest and I held on tighter to the bat in my hands.
"Oh come on Em. Is that how you welcome your best friend?" I knew who it was before I saw the face, but she had dyed her originally light brown hair to blonde, making her look slightly different.
"Oh my god! Abbie!?" I scream, pouncing at her. She hugged me back before saying.
"Sorry I missed your birthday. I would have been here yesterday, a wanted to surprise you but our moms and are taking this undercover thing really seriously, so I had to take a normal flight and a taxi and all that and then traffic-"
"Abigail, shut up, it is fine. You are here now are you not?" I say. She smiles at me and nods.
"What was that loud screaming for?" James asks, rubbing his eyes while he made his way down the stairs.
"Wow, you look like crap" Abigail laughs.
"Abbi?" James says. "Oh my god, what are you doing here?" He questions, embracing her into a hug.
"Got here a while ago."
"Oh." James curiously looks at the bat in my hands before asking: "Why do you have a baseball bat?"
I chuckle before saying: "Long story."
"Ugh. I feel like I have the mother of all Hangovers." James says, opening the bottom kitchen cabinet, where the Advil was kept.
After the party last night, the rest of the crew went their separate ways but I decided to spend the night here.
"Same here." I say, gesturing for him to give me an Advil, which he does.
I swallow it with the help of a glass of water and sighs.
"So, when are we going sight seeing?" Abigail smiles.
