13 REIGN OF EMILIA- "I do not want it"

FRIDAY CONTINUES

Third person's P.o.v

"Where are we going?" Emilia asked. The "Chaos Crew" were separated in two cars. James drove his silver RAV4, carrying Abigail, Hailey, Hannah and McKenna. While Ace drove his red and black Acura with Emilia and the rest of the guys.

"And why am I even driving with you? Is it not James and Abigail that know where we are -actually- going?"

"Don't ask me. I'm just following the GPS." Ace explains. James had input the location in to his GPS system.

"We have been driving for hours. I think I am car sick." Noah complains, when in actuality, they have only been driving for fifteen minutes.

"Noah, we've only been driving a few minutes." Emilia says. Noah has been whining since they reached two minutes.

After a few moments of complete silence from everyone in the car, Noah started sighing heavily again.

"Are we there yet?"

"Actually, according to the GPS. We are." Ace says.

"We are? Where exactly is...here?" Emilia asks as Ace and James both drive up a driveway and pull up in front of a modern black house with a Royal blue Honda CR-V parked in the open garage.

"Beats me. Maybe the surprise is that your parents have come to visit?" Ace suggests.

"Trust me, that is certainly not the case." Emilia correct. It could not have been her parents, seeing as how her Mother is the queen of Europe and her Father is dead. If it were that her mother was here though, that would mean that she is here to take Emilia home, and Emilia does not believe she has done anything wrong for that to happen.

"Hey what are we doing here? Where are we?" Emilia ask, examining the modern condominium.

"This" Abigail pauses. "Is ours." she smiles at Emilia.

Emilia almost chokes on her spit, looking at Abigail in pure confusion. "What?"

"Our moms bought it" she says before lowering her voice and saying: "Plus it's declared Maldonian territory." Abigail nudges her, meaning that as long as they were on that plot of land, American rules do not apply to them instead they are to follow the laws of Maldonia.

This time, Emilia was sure she might choke to death.

"What?"

"Surprise" James and Abigail both smile, throwing invisible confetti in the air and wiggling their fingers.

"Your mom bought you a condo and a car for you birthday? Oh how u want you life." Hailey says, Hannah and McKenna immediately agreeing. The guys just stare at the building in complete Awe.

Emilia stares at the condo for a few seconds, her face showing no expression when she suddenly recollected her senses before she deadpans:

"Tell our moms thanks, but I do not want it." she flats out, turning around and heading straight towards the Ace's car, sitting in the passenger's seat in silence.

"What?" Abigail questions her bestfriend as she approaches the car door, curious as to why she wouldn't want this beautiful house.

"I said I do not want it." Emilia repeats, crossing her arms in seriousness. At this point the rest of the crew had approached them as well, also curious.

"Why not." the friends ask in unison.

Emilia sighs and runs her hand through her dark hair, an action most people do when frustrated. "Look, I am very grateful for the gift, really it is absolutely beautiful." she starts and her friends give her a look, indicating for her to continue. "But I did not come all the way to America for my mom to throw money at me like some stuck up rich girl. You can stay here, but I will be stayingat The Palace Hotel" she muttered, still they all heard her. Everyone else out of the group might of heard it exactly how she said it, however James and Abigail heard it the real way. Emilia was basically saying that she didn't move all the way from Maldonia Europe and the whole Queendom to America for her mother to still treat her like a sophisticated princess.

Abigail and James nodded, quickly understanding where she was coming from, the rest of the group didn't dare open their mouths, after all, it was none of their business. The car ride to her penthouse was also very silent.

She should be grateful, she knows that, and she is. But she come their to live a normal life, and that is what she intended to do.

~At the Penthouse~

"I am going to take a shower, you two can order something for dinner, if you would like to."

"Emilia, sit" James and Abigail say in sync, using their strict parents voices that made her sit on the settee in the living room immediately, glaring at the both of them.

James: "Why do you not want the gift?"

Emilia sighs in frustration. "Gift? gift? James it is a fifteen million dollar condominium and a CR-V that costs who knows how much. Need I remind you why I am here in the first place? What normal parent spends that much on their teenage daughter? huh?". she explains.

"I know, and I get your point, but you know how crazy our moms get whenever one of our birthdays come. Remember for your thirteenth birthday they bought a whole island for just the two of us. We named it "The island of chocolate". For my birthday they bought a darn ship for us to use get to said island."

Emilia: "We named it Amandagail" she laughed.

Abigail: "Killer ship name by the way." she paused. "They have always celebrated our birthdays on the same day as if we were twins. We even told everyone we were un-identical twins." Abigail reminisced, she was now sitting beside her best friend, James just watching from where he stood.

"Not that anyone ever believed us." At this point, Emilia already started to cheer up.

"What I am trying to say is... It will not be easy for our mothers to not go all out, I mean, they have been doing it for seventeen years." Abigail reminded.

Emilia "You are right." she admitted. Something that she rarely does.

"So, maybe accept the gift and remind them not to do it again? Plus, look on the bright side. We get to be roomies." Abigail nudges her bestfriend's shoulder, smiling.

Emilia takes a few moments to think about the advantages.

~If I accept, then I would not have to live in a hotel anymore.~

~I could buy my own groceries and eat home cooked meals.~

~I would have a car, so I would not need Edwardo or James to drop me at school every morning.~She thought.

At the end, she decided to agree:

"Fine, but you have to help me let them understand. No. More. Gifts."

Abigail nodded in pure happiness, and repeated. "No. More. Gifts."
